Visited with a small number of Scouts on a sailing weekend.  We found the staff to be welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful.  The Fort is incredible.  Lots of fantastic displays and interactive things to do.  The views are incredible when looking out over the port from the escarpments.  A truly lovely, historical place to while away a few hours. Very interesting place to visit.  Some fascinating and very well presented historical displays.  Clearly a great deal of work and planning has gone into producing these.   Views from the fort on a sunny day are stunning.  Well worth a visit.

Visited with our World War II jeep great place to visit, very interesting displays, and wonderful scenery. Lovely tea room. Will go again, didn't manage to visit all the displays

An interesting couple of hours to be had if you have an interest in history. Some impressive gun emplacements and views from the top of the fort. It felt like there was some restoration work to be done as a few of the areas were closed and there was a fair amount of scaffolding.

Went with my 11 year old son, he found the different rooms and displays very interesting. Even better when he got to chat with a lovely man who was very knowledgeable about the weapons and my son got a hands on experience of the weapons and helmets. Nice clean toilets. The cafe looked good too. Some of the rooms were not open due to maintenance and other places out of bounds. Great views from the top though.

Great price,staff excellent. Great for kids. Cafe is well priced. Would definitely recommend this place,if you want your kids to burn some energy. All tucked up in bed now. Thanks Newhaven fort...

Spent a couple of hours exploring the Fort. They had some really good displays, especially the ww1 & the Blitz. It's a shame you couldn't explore a little more of the actual Fort, quite a bit appears to be closed to the public for safety reasons especially near the cliff / south side - hopefully  sometime in the future it can be opened?

Easily accessible and with free parking this piece of military history is worth every £ of the  10 adult fee they charge. Clean and well maintained the ammunition storage depots have been converted into a museum and each room covers different period of the fort's history. The WWII sections are absolutely amazing. Cafe and restaurant in the fort are also very good. The panorama is great

A really ,interesting, and exciting place for kids and adults. We have been vising the Fort in the past, but we were surprised  with the improvements. lovely picnic / viewing sitting area  on the roof of the casemates,  with wonderful views. The caponiers is a must !  One recommendation: please add bins  there and ..everywhere ! Also no dog waste bins ..

This is one of my favourite places to visit, in the world. Sundays are the best days to visit as, during the summer, they frequently have extra exhibitions and activities. There's loads of history to see and learn here. Buy a ticket, and you can use it to visit again as many times as you like over the following year. Whether you're an adult or a child, there's a great day out to be had by visiting Newhaven Fort.
