1st time visiting this post office today and it was certainly the last. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude, I couldn’t believe people spoke to customers like this! It was appalling. She was basically shouting, pointing and ordering me about like I was a slave! I had to put the label on it myself as she clearly couldn’t be bothered. She was on her phone and was constantly huffing and puffing. I told the woman that there is no need to be so rude, I had another parcel that needed to be returned, was charged £1.00 to use the printer, then I was told I’d have to pay for the cello tape, I only need 2 bits to stick it down!! I’m sure she could have spared me 2 little bits! I said I wasn’t paying £3.50 for some cello tape and I said I’d take my custom elsewhere due to the disgusting attitude and complete lack of customer service !!!
Its got worse not better . Under new management. Its horrid. Chololate on the floor and bleach on the floor where Children could get it! Smells, dirty and most of my parcels sent from this Post office have all been broken when previously they were not. I hate it.
Disorganised chaos! I waited in a que for about 20 minutes minimum to pay some money into my card. The shop was red hot as they didn’t have any windows or air con or doors open. Then when i finally got served the bloke said ‘the machine isn’t working today to pay the money in to card’ so i thought why would you not just simply put a sign up to notify us instead of wasting peoples time having them stand in mount vesuvius!
It's okay for what I wanted to do. Not very friendly. Could be better.
Obviously under new management, who seem to have no clue how to speak to customers with any civility. The woman who served me yesterday ignored me at first too busy on her phone, grunted, no actually barked her orders at me, without bothering to explain what she meant. No please or thank you. Chewing gum while she served me. Ignorant and rude, I’ll stick to Swad post office from now on.
I did our car tax at the beginning of June.
Things have gone from good, to bad, then to worse. I've had two problems in the last three weeks. First was a Signed For 1st class letter that vanished. Royal Mail din't recognise the tracking number and as far as anyone can tell it never left the Post Office. I went in to ask if anyone could look for it. The lady I spoke to didn't care and didn't want to help. Firstly she claimed the proof of posting meant they didn't have it it actually means they did have it and then that it's impossible for anything to be their fault and everything gets send every day and I should go away and file a claim. Second problem was the simple act of paying in two cheques. I needed a Santander deposit envelope because I had run out. The Gentleman behind the counter spoke so little English that he couldn't understand what I was asking for. There was no one else in the Post Office for either of use to speak to and in the end I left without paying in the cheques. My review from a few months ago said: Staff seem nice enough but you can tell that there has been a change of ownership. It's gone from business like, clean and tidy to messy, dirty and cluttered. There are random items for sale on almost every flat surface including the floor. The previously clean photocopier by the door is now filthy and covered in dust and I don't think anyone has bothered cleaning the place since the change of ownership. It's a great shame because Newhall Post Office had a lot of goodwill in the community and at the current rate the new management are going to squander that rapidly.
I had a very unpleasant experience with one member of staff today. She was very unhelpful and rude. Rather then help me by talking me through a service I needed and that they offer she sent me to a different post office. She actually laughed at me for not knowing the process. Disgusting customer service. Certainly won’t be using this post office again. The 2nd post office sorted my requirements in a few minutes with no problems.
I bought some stamps a few years ago and wasn't sure if i could still use them. A member of staff had a look at them and handed me a card to go and read. She couldn't tell me herself being a member of staff if I could use the stamps or not!
Fantastic service. Very quick and friendly. Helped me with everything I need.
