Participated in a celebratory service and refreshments commemorating 50 years since St Wilfrids was built. This included the opening of an exhibit detailing the build of St Wilfrids and the years since with photographs from the library archive service and local residents both past and present. Today's event was attended by several past serving clergy and the Bishop of Newcastle, Rt Revd Christine Hardman from the Diocese of Newcastle. It was a great event with a large turn out and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A very friendly atmosphere with a warm welcome for all from all walks of life.
