Today I was discharged from my second stay at the hospital and both times I was so impressed with my treatment. I was asking for coffee and yogurt at all hours and never felt like anyone had a problem. Everyone from nurses, techs, maintenance and food service was so nice and respectful I was almost sorry to leave. I definitely recommend this hospital.
This review is in regards to the Imaging portion on site at the hospital. I have never been admitted. The staff are professional and friendly, and the new wing at the Marshall Pavilion is very well-appointed and comfortable. There is even a waiting area outside which includes a couch two chairs Ottomans and a coffee table. All in all the atmosphere puts one at ease. I especially like the offices that are set aside for intakes. They are completely private. No chance of other people listening to your private details.
The way this specific hospital treats their patients is dehumanizing. My grandma had been admitted to the ICU department two different times recently and the first time around when I was there, she was treated with respect and decency but the workers were constantly eating and not using proper hand washing hygiene while doing so. The second time around, They did not take care of the room, all the trashes in her single room were overflowing all over the floor, there was trash flung everywhere to the point where it was unsafe for my grandma if she were to get up. Meanwhile there were nurses sitting around they could have had the decency to at least pick up all of the trash and maybe change it for her. The floors were disgusting. There was no monitoring of my grandma the second time around. On top of that with my grandmas situation she was exposed to other patients in the ICU with covid so of course she has covid on top of her conditions. The patients were then not properly taken care of either because of that. The nurses did NOT use proper equipment during this time. No hand washing even with the covid spread through the ICU. Me and my father had to tidy my grandmas room in front of the nurses sitting around just to make it the least bit sanitary, and again, no hands were being washed or cared for in this time. And nobody bothered to still check up or clean which is part of their job that they are paid for. At this point in time, my grandma was transferred to an actual cleanly hospital with care for her sake. I put 1 star only for the purpose of posting this.
I went for an MRI with contrast 11/2023. They couldn’t find a 2nd person to do the IV. The head of radiology lied about the whole thing to my Dr. I had to go back. I am still fighting the co-pay and no one seems to know who the CEO is.
My stay here last week was wonderful! Everyone from the ER to the floor staff took such good care of me... THANK YOU EVERYONE
My dad passed away here..4/4/23 he is not from the area… but he was on a job in Rochester ny where he would then be driving back home to have Easter with his family.. that day never came. My dad was 56. Great man, provider, caring loving man. Has 6 grandbabies 3 children… I am 33 years old now. Every day I wake up reliving the nightmare of not being able to be there for my dad while he was on the concrete unconscious.because he wasn’t from the area I wonder every single day if the emts and hospital were caring enough and had given it there damn hardest to revive him that day. I always think what if they used that machine a couple more times for us. His wife, kids, grandbabies.. would he have gotten the chance to be with us? 32 years of my life to now just constant grief and torture of all the things we couldn’t do to be there. To hold him. To make sure he was getting all the help he needed from this hospital. This review is written because I had lost my dad at this hospital and I’ll never have the chance to meet the people or see their faces on who handled him and how they handled him. i will live every day of the unknowing. Everyday waiting for my dad to come home from that one job he had took during his retirement for the sake of helping a business out in Rochester NY because that was thr hard working caring man he was. He was my dad that I now am living with out..
If you end up with Brianne Howell as a PA you’re better off just leaving… felt like she had zero regard for human life… I’ll go without being seen if this is the only place I got
Thank you to emergency room staff for making a scary situation that much worse! My partner is doubled over in such excruciating pain he can barely walk, and definitely can't drive himself. We happen to have our baby with us because it's 1:30 in the morning you expect me to just leave her home alone to fend for herself?? so you won't let me back into the room, yet refuse to keep me apprised of my partner's situation because we aren't married. Hmmm....problematic, no? I asked why I couldn't go back with my daughter. Apparently that's never been asked, because she couldn't answer me and instead offered to go tallk to her supervisor because exceptions can always be made yet the receptionist, Meg, interrupted to shut her down, gruffly telling me that's just how it is. Funny, I checked visitor restrictions and guidelines, but there's NOTHING about age. I'm observing incredibly loud and rude staff who are more concerned with discussing their drama and playing on their phones than actual patient care of those in the waiting room. Do NOT recommend. Nothing has changed. I'm sitting here having a panic attack, not knowing if he's even conscious at this point, going into surgery, okay or not okay...I know nothing and have no idea how long I'll be sitting here. My head is racing and I'm doing my best to keep calm. Very poor job, Newark, very poor job!
My daughter was in the ER last night with extreme dehydration from pregnancy. Amy, our nurse was excellent! She showed compassion more kindness than we have ever received in an ER setting. She went above and beyond. We wish every nurse was like her. Thanks Amy! Our stay was Monday March 13,2023 night shift. Give this nurse a raise!
Had a couple gastronomy procedures today, the staff was so helpful and kind. I felt safe and welcomed. Very happy with the care I received.
