We didn’t stay at the hotel, we only went for a meal but it was such a lovely place. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. I had the chicken with feta and it was absolutely delicious. Others had steak and ale pie and cod and chips and were equally impressed. All freshly cooked and nicely presented. Would definitely go again. A big plus for us was it being dog friendly. Best place we’ve eaten for a long time
We didn't stay here but felt compelled to write a review about the excellent meal we had his evening, absolutely faultless. We arrived mid afternoon just looking for a drink after a long walk, they wasn't actually open yet but happily served us. This great service made us inclined to stay for a meal, the home cooked braised steak was perfect, lots of seasonal veg too. I don't normally write reviews but just wanted to give credit where it's due.
Absolutely amazing place to stay! The staff were absolutely fab and so approachable and friendly! Rooms were immaculate and there was water and snacks in the room as well as toiletries. Beautiful location, you can play a game of golf near by or walk into Tenby. Food in the New Overlander was fantastic and big portions! Great wine too! We will be returning!
Didn't stay here but had a meal and it was great. The vegetarian lasagna was wonderful and one portion was enough for two people as it came with chips, garlic bread, and salad. Our server was also really lovely!
A lovely welcome by all the staff. Spotless rooms and restaurant. The food was outstanding. Chicken stuffed with feta and the Fish and chips was definitely a favourite. Not to expensive either. Definitely worth a visit.Rooms: 5/5
Didn't stay here just had evening meal. Staff were lovely food not good. Got creamy mushrooms with brushetta the brushetta was a ready to bake cob not even crusty. My husband got the steak it was swimming in grease and chips were very under cooked.Service: 5/5
Stayed for three nights . Breakfast was lovely . Nice friendly staff. Had evening meal on one occasion which was great all home cooked.Rooms: 5/5
I never write reviews but felt i had to write one about my experience today. I'm not joking when I say it was the worse food I've ever had. The chips looked, amd also tasted like they have been re-cooked they were hard and dry. My food was chicken with feta the sauce wasnt very nice at all. No one came to check if we were happy with the meals. I went without food. When it was time to pay my husband explained the one meal has been untouched to the bar staff, the cook/owner came to our table and demanded to know why I wasn't happy with the meal. When all three of us said the sauce wasnt very nice. She aggressively told me it was my own personal preference and it was made with tarragon, we tried to say we are aware of this but we felt somthing was not right with it. This women was very rude and wasn't accepting of any constructive feedback. I had to ask her bring her voice down as she was getting more aggressive and louder. I apologised if i had offended her by raising the problem i had with the sauce she replied yes you have offended me!! I didnt drink any of my blackcurrant drink as i didnt feel welcome and the atmosphere was terrible. The bar staff/waitress was absolutely lovely she was very welcoming, warm and friendly even though she was clearly rushed off her feet being the only person on the bar and restaurant. She apologised for her mums behaviour and said she scares her! What an experience and I paid £50.00 for it !
Favorite choice for informal evening meals. Food freshly made to order. Excellent valueRooms: 5/5
Very nice lady who warmly welcomed us as we stopped on our travels back from Tenby. Nice convinenat place with freshly made food
