The staff I saw here were all volunteers. They were lovely people who went above and beyond. In fact on the way there, I saw a woman running down the street. About 30 minutes later, I saw her at the venue. It was one of the volunteers, she had just run to the shop to buy ice for us. The snacks and drinks were great prices. I would have expected to pay vastly inflated prices at a theatre, as I normally do but I didn't spend as much as expected, leaving me spare money to buy merchandise plus give a donation on the way out. The theatre was clean and comfortable and being quite small, everybody had a great view of the show
Attending "Rock of Ages" at New Mills Art Theatre was a thrilling experience from start to finish. The intimate setting of the theatre added an extra layer of excitement to the already exhilarating performance. The cast's chemistry and enthusiasm brought the stage to life, creating an unforgettable evening filled with fantastic music and endless fun. A must-see for any theater enthusiast!
Pinked Floyd were honoured to perform for a second time at this beautifully looked after theatre in the heart of High Peak. The stage crew are so kind and accommodating and the audience of New Mills very welcoming - we shall be back if you'll have us!
Superb local theatre, with an amazing range of productions from local groups and tours of musicians and comedians. We recently went to see manfords comedy club and it didn't disappoint.
First time visiting this theatre I was very pleasantly surprised I only live a few miles away did not know it was there.we saw ANNIE only a amateur production but it was fantastic will be going again soon
The people who run the theatre voluntary are exceptional. Very enjoyable experience .
I feel extremely lucky to have a venue such as this on our doorstep. Gone are the days where most towns had their own theatre or cinema. But magically this one stood firm. It moved with the times and worked with the community. Its kept it's traditional features, which adds to the experience. A dash of nostalgia and a pinch of regal class. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to accommodate my daughters she has autism needs. Making what could have been an awful experience into an amazing one. I wish all places were as autism aware and autism friendly :-

Fantastic local theatre, unfortunately most of the female toilets were out of order the night we went, but the staff were doing their best to deal with it. Great price for seats and a fabulous production
Today is the first day I have been to New Mills Art Theatre, I took my grandson and his Dad to see Sleeping Beauty. I found it to be a lovely, and very welcoming place. Very well kept, great staff, who I presume are mostly volunteers. The production was great, the cost very reasonable too. It was a really nice gesture, that sweets were handed to the children attending at the finale, sweets made at the nearby Swizzles factory. During the interval we bought ice cream, it's amazing and made in New Mills, which I thought was good. Well done New Mills, for supporting each others businesses!
