My car isn’t the smallest but still, it’s not suv. I need to drop down my window to be able to leave the car. Not even talking about my partner who has to leave before I park.nnWho design and who approves such a disaster? I don’t know but I think they all should be banned for life to work in that industry.
Spaces are a bit tight, especially where the pillars are. Be aware on the top decks especially if you park in front of the exterior walls, as the base of the walls jut out quite a bit. I didn't notice intill I saw someone parking who came to a sudden stop as they drove up to wall.nI like the fact that the barrier opens up automatically on exit.
Only £1 for the whole day on Sundays!nSpaces are a bit tight with the pillars but there are more than 10 floors meaning you can always find a space not next to a pillar.
Expensive. Very expensive.nBut all st albans carparks are. If your over 6 hours which you tend to be you have to pay for 24 hour parking. It should be more like over 12 hours or at least 10 hours.
When returning to your car: go to Ground Floor entrance in The Maltings to pay for your stay for an uninterrupted exit.nnPerhaps the design of the car park didn't anticipate large SUVs parked by its *support beams, besides that it's in a convenient location with easy access to town.nn*There are multiple support beam parking bays which intrude in-between 2 parking bays at once.nn£2 for an hour is pretty great too if you just need to get something done quickly.
