Excellent pub! Friendly greeting, accommodated our request to change tables without a fuss, orders taken promptly with a smile and despite multiple questions about the menu the cheerful attitude remained. Food came quickly and was delicious - best Sunday roast lunch I’ve had in a long time. Outstanding experience, we’ll be back!
I was taken here today by my husband to enjoy our time together without our children. It was a lovely, quiet setting, beautiful building, friendly staff and the food was amazing. Everything came out beautifully presented, and was all cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back here again and highly recommend!
This was a lovely find on a trip out into Devon, food was excellent and the beer was well cellared. Highly recommended
A few weeks ago we went to New Inn for the first time to have a Sunday lunch, the welcome and service was good, the meal was well presented, cooked and a goodly portion. Our elderly Mother ate and enjoyed the food & atmosphere of the place. When I am next down in Devon to see Mum and Sister - “We will be back”. Please discourage dog owners feeding their pets at the table.. many thanks.
Visited on a Tuesday night which was busy with many people eating from their menu. I had the pork loin which was fantastic & flovoursome with black pudding mash. My husband's chicken& mushroom pie was equally delicious. A good selection of cask ales. Friendly & attentive staff also. All in all a very pleasant experience which we hope to repeat.
Nice little pub with very friendly folk. We went for our Sunday lunch and were not overly impressed by the food. Very watery gravy, much like flavoured water. The roast potatoes were very strange certainly not roasted, very pale in colour and almost inedible. I did manage to scrape out a little of the insides though. I can only assume they had been partially cooked, frozen and then warmed up a bit when they were needed. The beef and yorkshire pudding were nice, the vegetables were passable but the pudding, although very small was the best bit of the meal.
The New Inn is a proper pub. My wife and I have past this terrific looking Inn many times. Only yesterday did we have the opportunity to call in and we weren’t disappointed. The Inn is everything a thatched country pub should be. Welcoming staff, great beer, wonderful food and atmosphere. Will return soon.
Great place for a meal. Went last night for 80th birthday. Food delicious, beer good, staff brilliant. Really relaxed atmosphere in this pub. Will definitely go again.
Had our last meal of our holiday there. Very nice too, as it was good Friday it was fish. All 8 of us enjoyed it.
Lovely atmosphere with Great staff and wonderful food of course. Highly recommended...
