I really really like this quaint little cafe.nThe food is amazing. I can highly recommend the American Stir-fry and the pineapple scones. They also serve a delicious elderflower lemonade.nI recommend this location to go there with your friends and family for simply having a nice, well-priced lunch. The location is definitely on the cheaper price point and therefore makes it the perfect spot to also grab a quick lunch during a lunch break or after walking the dog in Lurgan park.nThe staff is really friendly. Today we were served by Rhys. He did a fantastic job, was super attentive and very polite. Even though he is a little bit shy, he makes you feel very welcome and at home.nI do not understand the people complaint about the cold inside the venue. I am a person that is constantly a bit chilly but even I took my jacket off and did not freeze a tiny bit. Maybe the lady complaining was sitting close to the main door and therefore got a fresh blow of wind.nThere is only 2 things I would improve on:n1. I would kindly ask to use filtered water for tea. The other day I had a camomile tea and all I could taste was the chlorine dominant flavour any UK water has. So please just for tea use a filter. It really improves the quality a lot and it does not cost a lot.n2. The main dining room looks slightly run down over the years. Over the past 4 years that I have been going there not an awful lot has changed. The furniture gives a bit of cheap Ikea furniture which might potential costumers not to give it a chance. TBH I was also a bit judgmental on my first visit. What won me over was the incredible staff and delicious food. So that is just a recommendation on my end. Invest 2k and have more people stay longer or have them even work from there. The place has all the potential in the world.
The staff were wonderful and the food was fantastic. Best burger I've had in years, like the best parts of a burger van burger and a mitchelin star burger. My wife got the festive fries and they were unbelievably good, like a full turkey dinner nearly. We will definitely be back!
We do like this place, its reasonably priced, child friendly, has a lot of seating and is open on Sundays. But their breakfast menu isnt great - pancakes are very hard and when I asked if they were made fresh I was told they batch make them fresh then reheat as orders come in. Unfortunately this means they are served tough. French toast was ok but hadn't been properly soaked, just dipped into the mixture which was very eggy and could have used more cream to balance the mixture out. Generally like their sandwiches but they are not made to order and I've found the bread is stale on a Sunday because they have been sitting out. They toast the sandwiches which mostly hides the staleness.nThey have decaf coffee beans which taste great!
Food was lovely but the place is freezing, so when you're paying at that price point you don't expect to have the food go cold immediately along with any 'hot' drinks. Manager really needs to sort this, a thick curtain could block the draught because there seems to be an inability to close the door.
Lovely, homely restaurant. Staff were really nice and good at wearing masks. You place an order up at the till which is then brought down to you. The food came really quickly and was delicious! Hot chocolate was really good also. Highly recommend.
