For transparency; I stayed here for a conference at the hotel, and my stay was paid for by the company not myself!! The hotel is beautiful, historic, and well presented. You do pay for that privilege though! My room was spotlessly clean, well stocked with tea, coffee, and washing essentials, and was very comfortable. I was worried it might be cold due to the single pane windows, but the heating worked well and the bedding was warm too! : Breakfast was lovely, full English done perfectly with my choice of eggs. The filter coffee was also really good. The bar is stocked with a good choice of spirits, and it appears an amazing choice of wines... The staff were so helpful over the two days, and although our event threw them a few curve balls, they dealt with them professionally and my experience was seamless! The gardens and setting are beautiful, and I'm sure I could have just spent time wandering around quite happily! Literally my only complaint, which I cannot really mark down on as I wasn't the one paying the bill, was that £4.50 for a cappuccino seems a little on the steep side. It was very nice though! I can fully understand why couples use this as a wedding venue, and I would love to be able to stay here again in the future!
This place was a great find. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of. Our room was cozy and clean. The food was good, the spa was amazing. The massage treatment by Laura was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing experience.
Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday - with elderly mother in wheelchair - on the snowiest day in ages. Was super impressed at how clear the access to the hotel was. Felt completely safe getting in there as the entire long drive was clear as were all the approach paths to the entrance doors. The staff were exceptionally helpful helping us in and as ever the afternoon tea was excellent with a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes. Brought home enough for another whole afternoon tea!
Great, I booked a spa day with afternoon tea and a facial. It was a really nice day and I was able to use all the facilities including Steam Room, Sauna, Jacuzzi and Swimming Pool more than once. A bit pricey at £100 but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The beauty therapist gave me some great tips on how to look after my skin. I would attend again.
My mom and I had a spa day here recently and we both had an amazing time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everyone made us feel very welcome and the service was impeccable. The afternoon tea was great and the spa treatment was amazing. Stephanie May who did my facial was incredible! The spa facilities are very clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
We would like to thank the management and staff at New Hall Hotel & Spa for the professional and friendly service provided on our wedding day on 28 February 2023. We found that high standards were maintained throughout from booking the wedding event to the wedding day itself. Our sincere thanks must go to Brooke who worked with us to plan the day, Isobel who made sure we were at the right place at the right time on the actual day, and ensured our wedding music and wedding meal went according to plan. Also a big thank you to Natalie who made sure that both us and our guests were catered for until late, and we all felt it was a perfect day. We felt very special celebrating our marriage at New Hall. We wouldn't have wanted to get married anywhere else. The bedrooms were well stocked, cleanliness was excellent the views of the grounds were beautiful. What a treat, and not an expensive one either. The venue is stunning, staff fantastic, food delicious, amenities great. Very good value for money and we will make a point of going to Sutton Coldfield just to stay there again. Thanks to everyone that works thereRooms: 5/5
Wow. What a spectacular old building. Full of character inside and out. Didn't use a bedroom as it was a day visit. But the rooms I explored were full of history. A place I've put in the memory banks for a future few days stay.Rooms: 4/5
This is the second time we have stayed here. The rooms are lovely, spacious and luxurious. The food is excellent, with great options for gluten and dairy free people. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble.Rooms: 5/5
Staff are excellent in all areas, restaurant is highly recommended and really very very good. exceeded my expectation. My room was fine but slightly dissappointing but better than the Nec Hilton etc From the photos it appears that the higher priced rooms much more character so recommend paying a little extra for those. Overall I rate the hotel well for value but would like to make a special mention for the staff who really stand out as top of their game, even at breakfast. Well done everyone, you make this hotel even better than the fabulous building.
