Just Back after spending 3 nights. Weather was fantastic. Very peaceful site by the sea just perfect, great for dogs and kids. Pitches are great some hard standing but mostly grass. The best thing about the site are the wardens the do not bother you at all only saw them when they where emptying the Bins. Will 100% return.
Lovely site, pitches are really spacious, we had sun all day on our pitch. A lot of the pitches are on grass but there are pebbles under the grass so i can't imagine you would get stuck if it rained. Wardens were very friendly and always working. The facilities although not brand new were always clean. The beach which you access straight from the site is gorgeous, shingle and pebbles as you go onto it, but when the tide is out the sand is lovley and so many different birds. People fishing and swimming so great to see. There is also a small play area for children and a hut which looked like it had a pool table which I think is also for children. Lots of dog owners walking their dogs, but can honestly say we probably only heard one dog yapping over the 3 days we were there and that was only for a few minutes. It was great to see families riding round on their bikes or going down to the beach with their small boards. We will definitely return here.
Great welcoming wardens in 2022 Paul and Ffiona but the others have a bit of a personality lack. Lovely beach when the tide is out and great for waterworks but dog walks are a little lacking. Good location for visiting this beautiful stretch of coastline The showers are kept spotless but can be a long trek if you get the more distant pitches as it is a big sprawling site. Well drained into sandy soil so bad weather shouldn't be an issue To be honest the amount of seasonal / regular campers says more about the site than I can
Lovely site, exceptional welcome. Very helpful front desk. Clean shower block and tidy well kept site. Right on the beach. Nothing to dislike, even inclement weather isn't off putting. Try the Cream of Galloway ice cream from site shop!
Best place for family and friends. It’s near everything and people who worked there is amazing and kind. Same with all the neighbours as well.
Top section that we prefer to stay on had been closed off fully and not just the shower block like previous trips. probably to save electric, shame we were not told beforehand.
Just had 4 days here for 1st time in 3 years and it was super. Spacious pitches, fab facilities which were spotless, direct access to the beach and lovely views so what more could you want. Very peaceful and loads of room between pitches too. We are well and truly chilled out.Off-leash dog area: Yes
Apart from the inclement weather and constant on shore wind the campground was excellent - clean facilities and strong hot water showers. Highly recommend
Fantastic place beach is amazing good for young children the sea is shallow for a long way out , very clean we wild camped just outside main site .toilets and water even a place to empty the loo.
Our favourite site. Lovely location right next to the beach. Site never feels overcrowded even when really busy. Nice and peaceful with walks and attractions not far away.
