Non hotel guests/members must book for a swim in this gorgeous outdoor pool via the hotel website. Adults only and the cost is £10 per person. The pool is 36.5m long and is fed by the underground spring the lifeguard even lifted the drain cover to show us the outlet from the pool!. Pool temp was around 21 when we visited on a very hot day, so best to wear socks/wetsuit in colder months. Pool was busy but not overcrowded, and divided into double-width lanes for slow & medium swimmers + a lane for fast swimmers and an accessible lane. Need to wear a cap in the pool and sliders for walking to/from the pool they can lend you these if you don't have them. Changing facilities are basic with a couple of toilets and no showers, although as the pool is not chlorinated you don't have the crispy hair/tingly skin post-swim experience. Lockers are available in the changing rooms but need to bring a padlock. Lots of sun loungers in the pool grounds and we went for a post-swim bite at the hotel bar, which was tasty and the bar was comfortable. Plenty of free parking in the hotel car park. A jolly and friendly pool which is well worth a visit
What an amazing pool! We booked online, and as we entered the lifeguard was super friendly and explained to us about the pool and asked if we had been before, and was clearly so enthusiastic about how nice it was - she wasn't wrong! The spring fed water is lovely and fresh, plus it's 36.5m long so feels like a good length between ends. We were informed we needed a swimming cap to swim, but the lifeguard was more than happy to lend us some for our session.n£10 is a super reasonable price for the grounds and the quality of the pool and unique spring fed water. I'll be back!
Beautiful pool, no chlorine, lovely mature trees round the pool and really friendly helpful lifeguards. Definitely on my places to go back to.nMy only improvement would be improved wheelchair access for the toilets at the hotel and the lido.
Lovely spring water pool in a nice environment. Easy to book, wide lanes and decent facilities. Even in August at 19 degrees it felt pretty cold!
This is a BEAUTIFUL adult only lane swimming pool which is a bucket list location for outdoor swimmers, and it didn't disappoint. There is a warm friendly welcome from the lifeguards who lent us swim hats and sliders to keep the pool clean. The pool is open most of the day every day. Swimming in the light rain looking up at the surrounding trees in a chemical free pool was delightful. It was 18.9 degrees on our visit which felt chilly at first, but was a lovely temperature once you were swimming. Loved it and will definitely be back
