Food is very good quality, although can lack flavour. Prices are in the high range but the meat is good quality. Naan Bread and starters ect definetly overpriced.

A very disappointing take away meal which gets the restaurant a single star for their ability to cook pilau rice, a rather nice sag paneer and a passable, if dimensionally challenged, naan bread. The two small onion bhajis cost >£1.80 each and were a texture more than a flavour. The prawn purée was a handful of shrimps nestling in a stultifyingly bland sauce. The chicken jalfrezi was extraordinary in the toughness of the meat and the lack of spices and chilli heat. It was uncooked chicken, though admittedly breast meat, served in a brown gravy with a few desultory bits of capsicum thrown on top. The problem of being a monopoly within a village environment is that the quality of food and service are never challenged by competition which leads to a massive drop in standards. There cannot be much further for this restaurant to drop as it appears to be rock bottom already. Massive overpricing compared to London's curry houses and a very poor service crowned this experience and has lead me to heartily recommend going anywhere but the New Akash.
