I contacted Melanie Bridgen from Nelsons Solicitors in Derby for advice in child arrangement. Her knowledge was more than I could ask for. She helped me through every concern I had and with her colleague Melanie Theakstone put together my wishes, contacted my ex, made sure that everything I legally wanted it was written down as clear for the court application as possible.  They followed my case through CAFCASS and the final court order. Mrs. Bridgen had straight questions, and answers to everything.  They took the process of my shoulder, and in 2 months I have received the final order from court with Christmas included. I cannot be more thankful for their job and knowledge.

After what had seemed to be a losing battle I contacted Nelsons after finding them of the Headway website for people who have had brain injury. Melanie was was solicitor, and I have to say how remarkable she was in dealing with a very stubborn ex. She was clear, pulled no punches in what to expect, worked very hard in a short space on time to get my family an out of court agreement that was ratified by the court. Even the Judge expressed his congratulations to her for dealing with this in a very professional, efficient  manner and a good out come for my family. You get what you pay for, and I am certain that the outcome would not have been so good with out her in our corner.

I have dealt with Melanie on some personal issues and Andy on some business related ones, both have always been absolutely outstanding : Highly recommended.

My husband wanted to buy a small house in derbyshire. Simple. Cash sale. No chain. Mr Blakeman was the conveyer. Poor communication. An arrogant attitude. Solicitors jargon instead of English. Lost Post.. Which was recorded delivery! An absolute disgrace. After 8 months I was told my proof of income was not satisfactory... After 8 months! The problem is  1pound is not 1 euro and with this fact they had a problem. When a firm has enough business the customer can become unimportant...  An absolute waste of time.  Never received my paperwork back and never got a refund.

We delt with Ash S. for our remortgage. Communication was very good yep and how often can you say that about solicitors!! He kept us updated throughout the process and ensured we completed on time. What more do you want, would recommend and will use again.
