I can't fault Nat West. I've banked with them for 17 years now and they have always been very helpful. I've never had a problem with Customer Service using the telephone banking service either, they have always been helpful and friendly. Happy to stay with them unless I'm given a reason not to.
Customer for 40 years and rarely had a poor experience. This changed on Saturday 6th August. I stood outside the bank waiting until 9.30 to enter at 9.32 the door was finally opened. Walking in the bank there where 3 operatives in the building however even though only 1 was behind a bank till the tills where cordened off to prevent customers from going to the tills. I was waiting behind the barrier thinking like the door the staff would remove it however after a few minutes a young man came to the barrier to ask what I wanted to which I replied I have a large cheque and a large cash transaction to complete and seeing the lady behind the till and being the first customer was hoping to be let through. As I moved forward the young man stood behind the barrier to prevent me moving forward I then realised he wasn't going to open the barrier he was going to stand in front of me to prevent me moving forward. He then told me the bank no longer opens on Saturday for desk transactions to which I asked how were customers informed of this to which he replied by email and letter. I contested this and asked when this happened to which he mumbled it was due to Covid. I told him that was absolute rubbish. I asked to see the manager his response again was there is no manager it was Saturday. I turned to leave and walked a few paces before realising what had just happened and turned to tell this bit of a kid that his attitude stunk and that he had offered nothing by way of solution to which he said bye bye. I waved and asked him if he would like to come out of den and behave in his aggressive manner to which he replied see you. Well you won't My account a very substantial one will be closed I'm sure I can get better service elsewhere
A special Thank You to Gareth for his assistance in a stressful situation. Great service from you so many thanks.
Transferred business account to Nat West. Efficient, helpful and fantastic service at Wigan branch. This is thousands of times better than the appalling service at RBS further up the street. At least I've not queued in Nat West for 110 minutes like I did once at RBS.
Visiting this branch made me change my bank. Wanted send money to Solicitor by Chaps , and used my driving Licence as ID , after failing all form at the end Branch manage told me can't do without my passport , I din't have it with me . Can't do exchange of contract till next week. Worse. Have to drive 4 hours to get my passport
This is by far the WORST Natwest I have ever been to. I am actually in the process of a formal complaint - the manner and tone in which I was spoken to was nothing short of disgusting! The manager Martin was so rude that I left the branch in tears! I would not recommend this branch to ANYONE. After being with Natwest my whole life this is the first and only time I have ever witnessed mistreatment this way or in any store for that matter! No wonder the ratings for the store are so bad!! Luckily Natwest customer services whom I called whilst in branch so they could be made aware have been nothing short of excellent and are dealing with the matter - Martin refused to speak to them on the phone point blank and said hes the manager so he makes decisions! SHOCKING
Hopeless Registered for a Help to Buy ISA with NatWest. I was asked to provide ID and Proof of Address either in-branch or by post. I decided to go in and get it done. First no-one was around on the Enquiries side so I joined the queue for Cash Services. I brought a Passport and a PDF bank statement - both of which are listed on the welcome pack as accepted forms of identification - however the miserable sod who served me insisted I needed a hard copy bank statement. I bank with Starling which is app-only but a PDF statement is easily generated. We both went through the letter together however he still insisted nothing could be done. He even asked if I had a gas/utility bill! No because I don’t own a home, hence why I’m here signing up for a Help to Buy ISA. So be warned if you’re thinking of doing the same.
If I could leave zero stars I would. Went in just before 1 o'clock today. The woman who served me clearly isn't happy working there. Poor, poor customer service but thank you for helping me decide to close my account.
Worst customer services, staff at the cashier were discussing and cristicising other customer while serving me. The cashier was looking at her facebook on her phone while serving me. This is ridiculous , how could the management allows their staff to have their mobile with them while serving customer.
Hit the telephone button thinking i was calling the local Wigan branch but got through to a customer centre! thought natwest was THE BANK THAT LET YOU TALK TO SOMEONE IN YOUR BRANCH! Then got transferred to the mortgage centre and PUT ON HOLD AGAIN after 13 minutes of waiting gave up not good Natwest, not good at all
