A great explore and well looked after nature reserve with proper pathways been added over the past few years to make it easier and safer to walk through although some of the nature reserve has got step free pathways it's not all the way threw. There it lots of little trails to cut threw and see where they end up. There is also a few interesting things to see and lots of wildlife to look out for. There is benches and some bins around to take a break and enjoy the nature reserve. I was impressed how it's looked after and with little to none litter laying about it's a very enjoyable place to visit although after wet days some parts are muddy so wear appropriate footwear. The only downside when I visited was the amount of dogs off lead's I encountered as I was walking around I got no problems with dogs off lead's especially in the field next to the nature reserve but in the nature reserve the dogs that was running about was coming from places unexpectedly and you couldn't see wear the owners was wich made me a bit uncomfortable other than that it's a nice place to visit.
Midsomer Norton is very lucky to have this area, it is a great place for a little stroll through the woodland with the kids or dog. There are well maintained pathways, seating areas, a pond and an adjacent field. There are occasional events here and these are detailed on the notice board as you enter the reserve. Although its fairly small, the layout makes it feel larger and there are lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Well done to all the volunteers that keep it well maintained.
A nice ‘inner city’ style walking area. Shame that there is currently fuel spillage in the river but there was lots of signage around which was very helpful as otherwise our dog would have been in! A large field & meadow which is great for ball throwing/picnics. I was surprised to see a deer! A lovely surprise.
We didn't know it was there & I've lived in this area all my life. It's beautiful & peaceful walking through it.
Great place for a walk, wooded area with paths and water basins as well as open field. A lot of dog walkers so good for socialising your puppy
This is a lovely little woods with a wild pond and small streams which support a lot of wildlife. There are several display boards on the heritage of the site and trails that lead through to the neighbouring field. From there you can follow a walking route alongside the Midsomer Norton heritage railway. If you get lucky you may even see a steam train heading along the line!
Beautiful space managed by volunteers. Lots of opportunities to see various birds and bugs. Nice little streams and bridges. Muddy in winter and heavy rain degraded the paths, but still a nice place to visit with kids/dog.
I can't believe I haven't been there before, amazing views and woodland walk, the steam train station is close by, took me back to my childhood waving to the passengers as the train passed
Lots small paths leading through wooded area and streams and pond. Large open area for kids and dogs. Licely wild garlic etc etc. Lovely
Can't remember the ladies name, she is the treasurer of the reserve, what a gem, I was walking my dogs and she was spending her spare time picking up other people's trash, what a lovely lady X
