Absolutely appalling service! Staff are rude, completely dismissed me and my daughter after we were waiting for near enough half hour. All to busy chit chatting. Lady who worked there asked people behind me in the queue of they needed help but completely ignored me and my daughter. The man behind her said it’s me she should be talking to. To which she laughed n walked off. As a result I’m closing my account with nationwide

My own experience at nationwide building society Coventry branch, Their customer service is excellent, always a quick service and problem or anything gets dealt with in a very professional manner and all staff are brilliant and experienced, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a brilliant service and experience.
I went for my bank statement for my visa application. The reception not good. Just let you wait. They asked me questions and then let me wait about 20minutes outside. Also when I put my folder on the desk. The receptionist stopped me due to the cov19 concern. But they still let other people sit on the table. Whats the difference? Worst bank service ever. I am going to quit nationwide soon due to the bad experience
I went along today with a money transfer problem and was looked after in a most helpful and courteous manner. They also appeared to have an efficient way of coping with a fairly large number of lunchtime customers. I've been with Nationwide many years now and consider them to be the best of the bunch.
Going to make a formal complaint. Despite being told twice over the phone that what I had requested is possible in branch, I was told it's not possible in the Coventry Branch. I made two separate trips on the same day, and was told what I was requesting is not possible. When I travel to another city to another branch, they couldn't be more happy to help and told me of course what I requested was possible. Staff need more training.
I usually only use the automated bank services in branch. Today I tried to pay in a cheque from HMRC Three times the machine told me the cheque was in the wrong way. It wasn’t Took it to the till where the clerk also was unable to scan the cheque I suggested she reported it as a system fault to be looked into. Unfortunately the girl wasn’t interested. “It’s probably because it’s a different type of cheque “. I suggested Nationwide bank systems should be capable of reading Government Issued cheques. Just an observation but staff only see working as a means to get money rather than being part of something and willing to improve the business. Oh well, probably a sign of the times.
