Although it was unfortunately bad news, the staff mechanics were very friendly and approachable; eager to be of help. I would recommend National Tyres to anyone who is looking for highly skilled, efficient mechanics at reasonable prices. Five stars every time.

So sad to review like this. The staff are fantastic, being forced to work under Halfords ludicrous conditions sadly has ruined National Tyres. Halfords expects me to drive a car with no MOT to their garage so they can take a look at it not that I need or want them to, Halfords are a joke. It's like having a professional mechanic national being told what to do by a have a go hero mechanic from next door. Won't be back again sadly.

Went above and beyond to try and fix a mobility scooter wheel for my daughter

Overworked, jaded mechanics who could all do with a long, restful holiday away from their target-driven commercial environment. When mechanics are placed under too much pressure....their customer service begins to suck. Some of us consumers begin to notice it and voice the painful truth. Remember the video "Uptown Girl" where Billy Joel and his musical grease monkey pals all did a finely choreographed jig? Well that's not what you'll ever see at this branch. The mood is much more grim....

Found online and got MOT cheap plus extra for signing up for newsletter which cancelled afterwards and got work done cheaper due to same as MOT and went over to Crosby village for walk around while waited

Another great job. Thought it was exhaust. These guys diagnosed correctly and repaired rapidly. Many thanks. OK it costs very reasonably but you get it done, and with peace of mind.

Had an MOT done there and advisory note was that discs were running thin and did I want them replaced. Didnt have much money at the time so I refused. I have since had 2 more MOTs on the same car at National Tyres and the discs have never been mentioned since. Did they try to get some extra work out of me that wasnt really needed? Apart from that I found them to be quite good

Booked in job done, good price and great service

I had to get a tyre from there in February as Willows was closed. They did the job well but then presented me with problems, saying it required all sorts doing to the suspension, I declined but I had it on paper to go away and think about it  - £800 they quoted but I never did get the work done. Anyway fast forward 5 months and 5 months of worrying to when I took car for MOT on Friday - yes it failed and will cost £150 to rectify!! I would not recommend any women go to this place as I really feel we are seen as easy prey. Shame on you!

Exhaust rattling, quoted £700 as all tyres need replacing also but can do it for £600. Took it elsewhere and all tyres fine and exhaust cost £60.  2 years later my car has been in for repairs elsewhere and cost less that £50 so I dont know where this £700 figure has come from but I wont ever go there again.
