Booked an emergency brake service on a Sunday on the day before. Dropped off the car sharp at opening, there were already 4 drivers on site. I got back my car 6 hours later, right before they closed, and the lad was still working on other cars. 1 mechanic fixing 40 cars in 6 hours was my estimation. Understaffed as hell, and the mechanic seemed to run the place on his own. The reason for 5 stars, it was probably not the mechanic's fault to bite more than they can chew. To be fair I used to go to original dealership 7 miles away, paid 3x more for the same, dropped off at 9am got back my car at 4pm. And they lied about refilling the coolant and screen washer. I will come again. Thanks.
Booked in a time slot for 9.30 to have my tracking/alignment done. Had to wait an hour ,Fair enough. Picked my car up and steering wheel was clearly off centre. Understaffed and under equipped they are unable to rectify actually get the job right there and then. Response was come back next Sunday when we can spend more time on it. Now I can't use my car for a week until it gets put right. Unacceptable
Had a puncture and it was non-repairable almost on the wall of the tyre. Wanted the same tyre that was already on the car, had taken it to a tyre company near trinity retail park but apparently they didn't do that tyre. Looked online and National/Halfords could.....so ordered online, paid and booked in for a slot that suited me. Turned up they fitted the tyre and was very pleased with the service. I will be using them as my first choice in the future.
50 minutes for a puncture repair after waiting an hour for them to actually start it!! The lads have one speed and that's barely slow. If I owned this franchise they'd be looking for another job as they clearly can't be bothered.
I purchased two front tyres, did my front wheel alignment and wheel adjustment here from the time I take my car out I don’t feel my steering wheel is straight. When I purchased the tyres online I put my e mail address wrong I Tried to contact the number given in their website and in Google maps to talk regarding that. Its a common number for Halfords and national tyres. It’s hard to reach them. Even though someone answer the phone it’s not helpful at all. Good thing is they start work earlier and on time. Happy with the after sales services
Avoid this place !!! I went there on Sunday morning to do the wheel tracking on my car as I've just fitted 4 new tyres and the old ones been worned little bit from inside I've been told £70 pound over the phone while booking my appointment. When arrived I've asked if I can pay by card and had been advised that it will be £30 if I pay by cash as it will save a lot of time to book it in on the computer. Easy money straight to employee pocket? : My tracking has been done in less than an hour so I went on the road and realised that my steering wheel is not straight while driving on straight. So I get back and I ask politely to re adjusted. 25 minutes later went on the road again and guess what ? Steering wheel still not straight, bit better but still not straight !!! I get back and ask to fix it. I've been called "grumpy" or something like that ,don't exactly remember . Then 30 min later I've been told to go on the road again and check it. It was even worse as on previous time !!! I was fuming. Lost 2h and he still couldn't do it right. Get back there asking what a hell is going on??!! I didn't get any explanation as the lad who couldn't fix it was waiting in my money in his hand He handed my money back and I went back home Next day I found a proper place with possibility to see whether my tracking has been done properly in spite of having my steering wheel not straight. See picture below how bad it was!!! This guy is useless!! Trying to charge in cash for something he couldn't even do it. I've paid £50 somewhere else and they've managed to set my tracking in 20 min with my steering wheel straight !! Also please see the picture of the steering wheel after doing tracking at national tyres. Unacceptable behaviour of national tyres employee, I just can't believe it
Amazing team they have here. They honestly made me feel like a family member, not just a customer. I recently booked an mot on an old car that's been sat. Failed of course, but you get 10 days to repair and retest. Takes the car home. Work, life etc meant I was a over the 10 days. I live local so nipped in to ask about booking the car back in for a new test. The guy was amazing and so was the mot inspector. They did a free retest for me. If that's not amazing customer service I don't know what is. Thank you guys so much, will definitely be using again and recommending. Happy happy customer
Shocking service here, very overpriced. The manager had an appalling attitude, had my car booked in for a service and asked them to replace my headlight bulb. Went to collect the car and they tried to charge me £58 for a H7 bulb - which costs £2 from Amazon. After some deliberation they took the bulb out, the brainacs didn't think to put my old bulb in so had to drive back in the dark! The service report was basically useless as most of the aspects of work were suggestions of replacing parts simply based on the mileage of the car not any actual checks. No images provided and just had to rely on the dodgy report they produced. AVOID
Had my tyre changed was quick and friendly only issue was stood there at the desk for ten minutes before being seen thanks again would come here again for tyres
Had mot here, failed, and had to go to another halfords to complete as they couldn't do it. They couldn't fit us in but gave us a price £280 for a cover. We went somewhere else, they fitted both for £160 and then told us that's not a mot failure. Went back, wasn't interested when we told them and he went outside looked under the car and then says to my wife, I won't charge you extra as you went somewhere else. Car didn't leave the car park and I'm sat there watching!! Won't be going back, and this place needs investigating for trying to rip people off.
