Cute little place - perfect for a lunch stop. It is a small venue with planned walks and external views of the house itself. The only facilities are parking and toilets. There was a coffee van there on the weekend day l visited but l don't know if that is always open. The grounds include the remains of an old fort. Lots of locals visiting - there is a dog park there too.
Derrymore House and woodland walk and medieval rath are well worth taking the time to stop and see. The house dates from the 1770's and the Parkland is full of nature and good for a brisk walk or even a run. Weekday mornings are lovely when you get it nearly to yourself and plenty of parking and dog friendly. Can't believe it took me so long to visit this beautiful place and I'll be back!
visit 28/10/2021: great use of National Trust family membership. Fair amount of parking spaces available, decent walk and family friendly paths smooth enough for a buggy/pram. Interesting benches with quotes on and scenic walk. Highly recommended
Absolutely love it here... i take my dog Archie ther for a run round the wee dog enclosure... i put on my head phones and walk round the paths also getting my steps up. It safe and also has a lovly park for children....Its an escapism..
A deeply historic place in Newrys long history. Derrymore is just the place for a quiet morning or afternoon with your family to wander the grounds enjoy the beautiful scenery and let the stresses of everyday wash away.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

Great wee spot, we always finish off at the park.
Love the park here. Bring my dog here all the time for a walk. She loves the enclosed dog park where she can run around and have fun. It is a lovely walk and very well maintained. Toilets are always clean. The only thing I would like is if they could place a couple more bin bags around the place to put the dog droppings into so u don't have to carry it.
Walk my dog here regularly. Really nice woods with different paths
Beautiful walks through the woods, worth doing, hidden gem.
