Beautiful and extensive gardens. Great for families as lots of places for the kids to run around as well as picnic tables. Lovely cafe with nice food. The walk to Amroth is really nice too as you go through the gardens to the coast.
Wow what a great place to visit. lots of walks to keep the children busy some beautiful plants. Lovely little tes / coffee room. worth the drive . The roads in can be a little narrow.
I visited Colby for the Parkrun along with a few friends. Would have loved to stay for longer - it was a beautiful place for a run! Parking was free till 10am, and the coffee shop served lovely coffee along with homemade cakes. Would definitely visit again and explore the place a bit more!
Colby Woodland Garden is a lovely and beautiful location to go for walks. There’s a splendid walled garden alongside various walking routes to explore with the family. There’s also a cafe with a good selection of cakes and drinks that help for a wonderful day out to explore in nature. Plus there is a second hand book shop close by within the estate to visit. The estate opens between 10am - 5pm every day of the week, and there is a pay and display carpark that is free for National Trust members with a valid memberships card.
Our family had a lovely time here. Nice valley to explore, cute little second hand book shop and cafe. We spent most the time in the upper wood seeing all the little things they had left for us to find. You can have small walks from the lower carpark or big walks from the upper carpark. Facilities at lower
Haven't visited for many years, really enjoyed the main site and super cafe on site as well. Was introduced to the vast other walks available and will definitely call back as it too much to take in on one visit. Tree hugging essential.....
A lovely place to have a wander. There is a walled garden to explore along side walking routes with industrial heritage items and wood sculpted animals to find and a meadow perfect for picnics and a game of frisbee. The lovely tea room sells a good selection of cakes and drinks all of which make for a lovely afternoon out.
Pretty walled garden and amazing woodland walk with paths that go up and down, over little bridges, with wooden sculptures to find, and the cafe serves gorgous food. One of the best National Trust places!
Lovely woodland garden with lots of nature for kids to explore. Some shady spots, some sunny spots. Lots of places to sit and have a picnic. Nice independent café that does lots of cakes, coffees and a limited selection of creams.
Lovely gardens and woodlands to explore. The sculpture trail is excellent and the walled garden is lovely too. Large field by a lovely stream to picnic by. I’d have dropped the score slightly 4.5 because of so many dogs running off leads in the picnic field which clearly ruined a lot of people’s picnics the trust do ask people to keep their dogs on leads but only the good owners go and nobody from the NT is around to do anything
