Beautiful in every way. The tour of the basement of the house is led by knowledgable staff. The silver is amazing and should not be missed. The house it self is free flow, so you can take your time and walk in any direction to admire the paintings and decor. It truly is a remarkable place to visit. The adventure playground is a huge hit with the younger ones. On a hot day there are two different stations with water to play at. One has a pump and sprays it high over head, cooling them off nicely. There is also a small train which can be ridden for a modest fee. The gardens are amazing in the spring with the most daffodils in bloom than anywhere I have been yet.

We're big fans of Belton House, despite living an hour away. Fantastic playground, beautiful grounds, interesting house, lovely cafes, a second-hand bookshop, large National Trust gift shop. I haven't even covered everything, but you can check their website for more info. I'd highly recommended it for families, especially good for multi-generational day trips, as it appeals to all ages.

Fantastic day out for all ages. We are regular visitors as we love the adventure playground that runs along the river. The children are happy playing in the play area all day. There is also the house to explore and the beautiful formal gardens. There really is something for all ages.

An absolutely fantastic house, grounds and setting. Worth regular visits throughout the year as the house and grounds change with the seasons. The basement tour is worth trying out as it gives real depth to the running of the house through the years. Fascinating! You can spend an entire day just trudging around the grounds, which are vast and varied. There is plenty of fun for the kids too. A 1000+ meter fun park of climbing frames, train rides, swings and slides running along the edge of the grounds. Well worth your entry fee of annual national trust membership.

Had a great time staff are friendly and very informative. Went in the house on a timed key. Also did the under the stairs tour which was very good. The grounds are spacious, clean and gardens are really well maintained, there is a large play area for children. All in all a great day out.
