Really enjoyed visiting yesterday. The horses were lovely. What really made this place was the volunteer s, the lady who showed me around the palace house really knew the history of the place, and wally who was able to tell all the stories of working in Newmarket.
On the surface all looks very historically origional. The great guides at the museum and palace and stables explain how the Palace of Charles II and the rebuilding across three centuries changed the outlook you see today. The Newmarket Council have resurrected the palace, in part, and the stables in full which is a very thorough record of English racing history.nnThere is so much to see and do get there for the 11am stable tour.. The stable manager is extremely knowledgeable.nnI wish I could have combined the National stud, but they are open only at weekends and Fridays.
We spent a few hours here and learnt a lot. It's very informative and engaging. My daughter enjoyed the equisisor. Lovely gift shop to finish
Great place, very good service and mostly you can interact with beautiful souls as horses are. You can relax by having a good cafe with cake.
Great spot! The museum is far more extensive than I initially thought but we loved it! You could certainly spend upwards of 2 hours to see it all
