Very nice place. Lovely clean toilets. Great for all ages. There are lots of different plants to look at and a bonus on the way out - a garden centre will definitely be going back on a cooler day though, we went when it was 28'c. Lovely walks to do around the area.
A lovely place for a wander and to look at a massive range of plants and flowers and trees etc etc. Visited at end of August so not so many blooms left but still colourful. Has a massive greenhouse structure. Also on site is the bird of prey centre which is worth 5 stars in itself. Couple of areas to get a coffee and cake so all is cool.
A beautiful place to visit any time of year - membership is definitely worth it if you will be a return visitor! I’ve been visiting since it opened, and it’s wonderful to see the growth and changes not only seasonally but over the years. The walking trails are a must too if the gardens themselves get too busy! The only disappointment from my most recent visit is that the water feature in the glasshouse is looking a big algae filled and neglected due to the waterfall being switched off and there being no fish in the pond.
A lovely range of gardens and landscapes from a double walled garden to parkland, from wild flower meadows to tropical glass houses, waterfalls to lakes. Your ticket is valid for a week, so you can keep returning to take full advantage of the space. Dogs are allowed in on Mondays and Fridays, but never in the glass houses. The central cafe is busy but very efficient, with sandwiches or generous main meals, excellent value. And on the way out, a good range of plants for sale suitable for UK gardens.
A very gentle day out but still lots to see. The plants are laid out in easy to access domes & areas. I highly recommend a visit to the apothecary's shop & garden perfect for history buffs & fans of the macabre. Although a small additional charge the Bird of Prey centre is well worth a visit & catch a display if you can as it shows the knowledge, passion & care that goes into looking after the birds.
A great place to go for a day out. You can either have a good old walk or they offer golf carts to get around if it may be a struggle for some. The birds of prey were absolutely stunning and very well looked after. The whole place was beautiful.
Very lovely interesting place, huge car park, lots of space for your dog and clean toilets. It's been a great day out, the food smelled amazing and a lot of facts about various plants around the world. Tickets are valid for a week so you are welcome to visit again! Playground: There is a playground for your little ones, clean and well looked after Restrooms: Very clean! And did you know they filter their own water Dog-friendliness: A lot of area for your dog to enjoy, even designated trails! However, there are buildings where dogs are not allowed Picnic area: Plenty of grass around and even picnic tables available
I have been to a lot of gardens. You can tell this is a younger one but wow it is great. Great variety. Amazing dome. Lovely restaurant. You can pay an extra pound to visit the British birds of prey centre too. Highly recommended.
A very young garden, compared to those in other parts of the UK, with some some glorious details and features. The walled garden is just fascinating, and within it, the butterfly house is a wonderful place to stop and stare at these amazing tropical insects all around. The huge feature dome hosts a warm ‘Mediterranean’ type semi arid climate, the deep ravine emphasising the contrasts found in those regions. Enough here to happily occupy a day, with lunch in the old farmhouse.
Lovely place to visit if you like botanical gardens. We really enjoyed it. The food and drink selection is small but they have vegan cakes. Very elderly and disabled friendly as they operate golf buggies between the different buildings. The birds of pray show is a must, we loved it.
