Unfortunate Birthday at Nando's: Seeking a laid-back atmosphere for my New Year's Eve birthday while I was feeling unwell, Nando's seemed like the perfect choice—until it turned into a very long wait. The news of running out of whole chicken extended our wait to 45 minutes. Hoping to salvage the evening, we ordered chicken livers as a starter, priced at a hefty £9. To our surprise, it arrived as a small bowl with a single bread roll, and an extra roll set us back another quid! The seemingly dry reheated livers and extra roll was stale only to add insult to injury. To make matters worse, our meal was undercooked when it arrived, so needed to be returned to the grill. By the time we finally sat down to eat at 9 pm, over an hour later, the restaurant was closing, leaving us no choice but to take our meal away. The saving grace? The staff's friendliness. Not the best birthday to say the least!
Don’t ever consider this branch of Nando’sBrentwood. The worst Nando’s branch I’ve ever been. So I came in tonight to spend quality time with my parents and brother but these guys messed up my order. They put aside my order for 20 minutes, so it came cold and the sauce sank deep into the chicken and looked and tasted like rubbish. And it took them 48 minutes to bring the whole order it was an order for 3 people. The chicken was pink inside. And the order that they messed up they said they’re going to cook a new one but instead they reheated the order and it also came to mind they gave us burnt and reheated chips/fries. Instead of giving fresh food they just said “sorry”. Nando’s was my favourite but I was so disappointed that I ended up eating a Sainsbury’s meal deal which appeared to be much better. We should’ve been smarter and went KFC or Wagamama. I just wasted £60.
Delightful meal quick and kind service. If you like chicken and a variety of sauces this is your spot!
I visited twice on 2 different afternoons, on the first visit they forgot to bring us our glasses and when they brought them over they were hot just out of the machine, not great when you want a cold drink.nnOverall, the place was clean and tidy and the servers were friendly and polite. There's ample seating. It's really strange having to climb upstairs to the toilets. The days I visited were warm and upstairs was even warmer.nnThe A/C was on and were seating next to the window just below the air vent, after a while it was uncomfortably cold.nnThe food was as expected from any other store, we enjoyed it, and it was served within a reasonable timeframe.
Quiet nandos on Brentwood high street. Service to get seated was a little slow despite the restaurant not being very busy. There was an option to either order via phone or at the counter, both easy enough to do. Food was served relatively fast and up to the usual nandos standard.
