Beautiful traditional pub and restaurant, dog friendly with a great atmosphere inside or for us on this warm sunny evening with tables outside also we chose that option.   Partner had prawn cocktail starter and 8oz sirloin steak main whilst for me it was fried mushrooms in a chili garlic sauce with warm chiabatta bread, then smothered chicken, chips, salad and onion rings as main. Excellent

It has a lovely atmosphere, served in ten minutes! Everyone enjoyed their exceptional meals. Front of house was the best I've ever seen, even remembering our whole drinks order without a pad, and after we changed a couple of our drinks!  Parking: Enough spots, but might get fuller when it's busier.  Kid-friendliness: Lots of options on the children's menu, spoilt for choice.

Rating:  We had our first big family lunchtime at The Nags Head Pub in Donington Leics, marking our fourth visit, and it was exceptional as always. The steaks are excellent, and the vegan options are amazing – the menu has something for everyone.  The indoor and outdoor ambiance is fabulous, making it a great place to dine no matter the weather. The customer service from Sharon and Carol was first-class, and Cindy, the Head Chef and Landlady, is extraordinary. Her cooking and presentation are top-notch, and her genuine passion for her food makes every meal special. We travel 25 miles to eat here because it’s truly worth it.  A special shout-out to Mika, who works most evenings. She’s excellent – witty, professional, and always provides great service.  Thank you for making our family lunch a fantastic experience. We look forward to many more visits! The chef promised me the best roast I'd ever tasted and he wasn't wrong. All our dietary needs were catered for including the best Vegan Sunday roast I've ever seen, we were even able to get a take away for a family member who wasn't able to join us. Even though it was busy we were served quickly by the very friendly staff. Well done 10/10

We arrived around 1230 on a Saturday having walked from a local village. Although we were the only customers the greeting was super friendly and the service was brilliant. The food was delicious, especially the home made soup. Definitely going back, and this will become the new half way point. Having visited other pubs in Castle Donington this is one of the best by far. Dog friendly in the bar and outside Great food Great welcome Worth a visit

Really great vegan carvery alongside meat options for the rest of the family. I didn't miss out on anything, everything had a vegan substitute and all super tasty. Thank you!  Vegetarian options: Really great vegan options. It's an Omni pub, but the chef is vegan so there are great vegan options on the main menu, and with advance notice, the vegan carvery options are amazing! You don't miss out on anything - vegan yorkies, cauliflower cheeze, roasties AND mash. Loads of veg. Highly recommend!

Every time I have been in either with friends or on a date with my partner the atmosphere has been brilliant! Food has always been perfect for our tastes and served within a timely manner. The steak deal is also fantastic All staff, whenever I have attended, have been polite, accommodating, friendly and over all excellent. Would highly recommend for people who love good pub food and friendly people  Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options available  Dietary restrictions: They were able to offer plenty of variety for my mother whom is gluten intolerant and then had plenty  of vegan options.  Kid-friendliness: Plenty of child friendly activities advertised on their face book page. I took 7 of my Grandchildren here for their dinner as they were having a sleepover at mine and all wanted different dishes; the staff here were so helpful, brought the drinks to our table and made sure everything was as ordered. Their children’s meals were freshly cooked and made of quality ingredients, and massive portions. First class, I’ll definitely come back but the childrens sleepover will be an annual thing not monthly

The Nag's Head it's probably the best place to eat in Castle Donington! Fish and chips was great and the Sunday roast is awesome! Great choice and great value. Staff is friendly, prices are good. I highly recommend a dinner or a lunch here!Food: 5/5
