Good food, good selection of beverages, reasonable prices, good atmosphere, clean premises, friendly staff. Would deffo go back. Keep up the good work
Had booked in advanced, were asked when it was booked, they don't look at bookings till next day. Just go find a table without a reserve on it. My daughter was in a wheelchair so we couldn't take any tables up the stairs. The reserved table had a name and time which was 14.00, it was now 17.30. The other table still had dirty items on it. When food eventually arrived it was lukewarm only hot part was the gravy. Toilets were in bad state. staff told, but didn't seem too bothered. Have used this pub on many occasions before with no problems. It seems to have gone down hill. Will not be going to or recommending it anymore.
Normally a good place but were short staffed. Food was not up to a great standard but the girl behind the bar was exceptional, grafting on her own after finishing a late shift the night before. 5 stars for her but 1 for the management Staff should not have to handle that pressure without support
Have been coming to this pub on and off for 20 years, always been a fave but has gone downhill. Dirty glasses, not enough staff so takes a while to get served same issue on a few visits, some of the tables are broken and rickety management, put your drink on Table 16 and lean on it. My friends and I came in for a pint and all four of us left ours undrunk because they tasted metallic and off, and these were different drinks. Normal menu not available, a print out advertising "Chiken strips" on every table instead. Needs improvement.
Very disappointed, this used to be a nice family pub. I don’t often write a review but the lack of communication was a disgrace! I booked this for my family of 14 for my niece’s 18th birthday. All well until we went to order our mains. We were informed that we cannot order our food as the chef does not have time because the kitchen shuts at 10 and he has too many orders backed up. But I had already ordered my sons meal, we then had to wait 30 mins before it arrived. After which we were then told that children are not allowed in the pub after 9pm. But this information was given to us at 9:30pm! The staff was gracious and allowed 5 mins to for him to eat his meal. No one told us any information about when the kitchen is shut or rules about children being in the pub past 9pm. We had to leave and go and get food elsewhere. On top of that I had to chase for my £75 deposit and the men’s urinals were blocked with urine. I will never go there again. Very disappointed!
Very accommodating at short notice. We reserved an area for my daughter's birthday. Good food, great service
Went there last night and the place was in shambles. No milk for a coffee... ran out of some alcohol and food.... when you know your going to be busy as we were a party of 30 you must be prepared for it. The barman wasn't very helpful either.
The new Female Dj lil mich is absolutely rocking the vibe in there. I wouldn't have visited this place b4 as wasn't keen but that dj is a proper little hottie and her vibes are just out this world. She's so friendly and welcoming and has made me want to become a regular and bring more friends
Good food and a clean place. Drink prices are bit on the dear side for its location. Would've given it 5 stars if the service was a bit better.
Couldn't experience the pub's Karaoke since the host played 2-3 regular songs no singers in between performers. Might as well have been college student dance night.
