Beautiful location and pub. Staff really friendly and the food is exceptional. Friend and I both had the venison pie and it was simply delicious. Good value for money. Will definitely visit again.
Jutting out as it is from the bridge over the Thames, it gives the feeling of being on a ship. Plenty of outside seating, with water on either side, sitting in the warm March sunshine with a super tipple, it was perfect. There is a cosy pub area inside and the indoor restaurant area. Charming!
We used to come here quite a lot and we thought we'd go spur of the moment. We both had the beef Sunday roast and it was very tasty. The decor is nice, the staff are friendly.
A Brakespear Pub, renovated about 7 years ago and still looking good. We went in December so ate inside but it also has great outdoor areas right on the Thames. Friendly staff and the food was very good though the higher end of pub food prices but the venue justifies this.
What a fantastic pub! Beautiful setting, the most attentive, friendly waitress, she was young and trendy with shaved head and tattoos Food? Out of this world! We had a roast, it was for two, but 3 of us couldn't finish it! They were very good with my daughter who has Coeliac disease, everything was checked for wheat, and the chef, well, what an amazing cook! The vegetables were sublime!
We chose nags head for beautiful view and location and we had a few glasses of champagne on our wedding day. Everything was just perfect and we had a lovely surprise with chocolate coated strawberries. Thank you Anna for organising it for us.

Had a delicious lunch here, staff very friendly and very allergy aware. Great for kids with great kids menu and activities available. Also a great variety of gluten free options. Great location, really delicious food try the sticky toffee pudding!, Would definitely come again!
Love this place! There is nice old but modern atmosphere. Service is great, friendly and informal thanks Ashley!. Food is well cooked and presented. Dogs are welcome at the pub part, which is a plus. There is a lovely outside area for those long Summer evenings, beside the river. As a veggie, I love their cauliflower 'wings' and wild mushroom ciabatta. 5/5!
Nice pub just over Bridge on river. Public car park about 2 minutes walk away, past pub Can thoroughly recommend fish pie, good size portion. Also enjoyed chunky chips i ordered as a side. Medium range in pricing, cards only, and cannot put tip on card . Decent selection of beers, wines.
