I was shopping here in September whilst on holiday and found the shop quite charming and the lady in charge polite and friendly. However, when I went to pay fir the item I wanted to purchase which was £10.50, I was told point blank that I was unable to pay for it with an old £20 note as it was NO LONGER LEGAL TENDER! Does the proprietor not know that they cease to become legal tender on 30th September 2022. I knew it wad still legal tender but I really wanted to buy it so I paid on card, but I was very annoyed!
Really nice shop with friendly staff. Lively gifts, very reasonable prices.
