Went last October as I had toothache and they were the only dentists without a long waiting list. Appointment didn’t go great, they started work before I was numb so I had to stop them and then during the work they cut my tongue with the drill and it was bleeding. I didn’t feel it at the time and wasn’t till later when numbing agent wore off it was sore. The new filling was rough and sharp and hurt my tongue but over time I got used to it. Not the worst experience but not the best, however the filling that was needed was done so still achieved what I wanted. I did decide I wouldn’t go back there again though. A year later and I have signed up to a new dentist and they’ve shown me that the first filling wasn’t done correctly and they commented on how rough it was on top, and I have had to pay to have it redone in just a year since the first time. I wouldn’t recommend this dentist at all unless it’s your only choice and even then expect to pay twice in the long run
was removed from patient list for missing mine and sons appointments 1 time due to my health, no warning or listening..then they threaten with social services for neglect due to them removing him from the list. 8 years with no dentist or check ups and still waiting on the NHS national waiting list..
I had to go private as not taking on NHS patients at present Rarely have to wait long, depends on the time of your appointment! Mornings are usually better to avoid a long wait Prices are comparable to other private dentists in the area As a new patient, my partner had to wait 2 months and pay the initial fee upfront. I believe this is now common practice I see the dentist every time I go, which is nice and good continuity
Several years have passed since my daughter's tooth was pulled out, the trauma remains to this day, there is a problem with going to the dentist even after years.. After applying local anesthesia, dr Ojo did not wait more than 1 minute and proceeded to remove the tooth, the daughter was moaning in the chair..
I have been a patient at this practice for some time, Dr Neil Partridge is my dentist. I cannot rate him & his nurse enough, Neil is very meticulous in what he does, he always takes the time to explain what treatment is required & explain the outcome of the x-rays to me. Rebecca his nurse is always very friendly & helpful. I have had both NHS & private treatment carried out by Neil & I couldn't be happier. He recently fitted a post crown & I am so pleased with the results, it's wonderful to be able to smile confidently again.
What an incredible experience today at mydentist St Austell. The friendly, helpful and accomodating staff and our very helpful and kind dentist, Adebola Oja, made the journey to get to you well worth it. She explained everything so well to both myself and and my children. The reception staff were helpfull and understanding with booking in further appointments to our restricted schedule. Couldn't ask for any more. Thank you.
My check up appointment went well. Careful examination. Informative assessment of condition of my teeth by dentist Neil. Appropriate treatment option offered. Regular monitoring of check ups planned.
I have no problem with the dentists work it’s just there manner and tone of voice. I was made to feel as if the state of my gums etc was due to my neglect. How do they know what my mouth has suffered over my 65 years of life. The dental assistant greet ed me with a miserable “du wanna come in” I felt like saying “no I don’t” as I was there for a tooth extraction. Confidentiality wise, well you can hear everything that is being said while your waiting outside in the corridor, telephone calls, what they are discussing with the patient in there. Also the receptionists need to show some thought towards patients, apart from Rebecca who greet d me with a smile yesterday the rest need to learn from her.
This by far is the best dentist i've ever been too and i'm really lucky to have them nearby. I'm not the greatest fan of dentists due to previous experience and do have some anxiety over visiting. From the first phone call right the way through the whole process they are the most friendly professional people i've had treatment from. I've recently had a problem with my gum and the receptionist on the phone couldn't be happier to help me especially upon hearing about my anxiety visiting. I have an appointment in a few weeks and I'm so much happier within myself regarding the whole process. Fully recommend especially if you have anxiety toward dentists in general.
My mate said he was the first one in the Dentist in the morning and he said the cleansingness of the place absolutely outstanding. He doesn't have access to internet & he is an elderly man. He said when he entered the room near the kitchen, he said all visers were set out nicely on the tops and he also mentioned that the floors are looking much cleaner now than they ever have been! He said a faint smell of pine filled his nostrils as he entered the hallway and he smelt and looked like one of the cleanest dentists in St Austell. Shout out to the cleaners who clean the place.
