This review about Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens A small museum with lovely garden to walk round. What a lovely haven to be at with the family and children. Not a proper cafe though just wished if the place was provided with food service providers or sellers. Some interesting Roman finds and an impressive bikes collection. Nice welcome from the receptionist and it's free! Most of the workers are volunteers serving the community, bless you all.
A lovely visit to our local museum. To my shame, I’ve not been here since I was a child, but bringing my own children here for an Easter egg trail, I see how wonderfully kept the grounds are and how dynamic and enthusiastic the staff are. It made the whole visit really enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to take your kids for an enjoyable, but Educational time for a few hours, I would strongly recommend visiting the beautiful and historic - 500 years old gardens and an educational but fun artefacts of the museum. There are also some nearby swings to take them to afterwards if they need to burn off some energy.
This museum is well worth a visit. Lovely exhibits in each gallery and the old bicycles are excellent. The museum have a questionnaire for children to complete and dressing up opportunities. If you visit please don't forget to make a donation in the roman pot on the counter. Every penny helps keep the museum going. The wall garden is another gem. The Gin distillery was enormous and a good focal point of interest. Thank you to the two lovely ladies who were doing the arts and craft activity in the garden. Todays theme was design a record sleeve. My grandchildren had a brilliant time. Even my 2 year old got stuck in and created a picture. Over all we had a lovely time and certainly would recommend it.

A small and well ordered museum with pleasant garden to walk round. Not a proper cafe but you can get a cuppa if you need one! Interesting Roman finds and an impressive bike collection including several penny farthings. Nice welcome from the receptionist and it's free!
Nice place, great information and displays about Harlow's live music heritage and the gardens are lovely, great colours and loads of variety.
Nice little local museum and garden to walk around.
Celebrating the glory of harlow. Lovely gardens lovely historic features
Grew up in harlow and this was my first time visiting. Brought my 5 year old for the half term craft activities. Free, fun and beautiful. A picnic here in the summer would be lovely. The libaray you can look through old harlow newspapers. Most likely find a childhood photo if you look hard enough.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A lovely museum. We visited on a free entrance day. The gardens are gorgeous on a sunny day. We attended whilst there was an event on discussing the history of photography in Harlow, it was very interesting and great to meet the individuals there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The museum has a little cafe which is a nice touch. Overall, it was a really nice visit and far better than we had expected.
