Museum Of Berkshire Aviation
"Berkshire's dynamic contribution to aviation history is graphically recaptured at the museum. Run as a charitable trust, the museum is at the historic site of Woodley Airfield, near Reading, U.K. - once the centre of a thriving aircraft industry. Miles and Handley Page aircraft built at Woodley are being re-constructed and exhibited along with fascinating pictorial records and priceless archives."

Truly enlightening experience of British aviation history, this will interest many young people & parents alike! Well organized display of aircrafts, books, photos, tools & and full scale planes in this small-sized museum! Highly recommended & the entrance fees are small £10 / family, very little traffic even on weekends. Thanks to veteran volunteers for the guided your, we were honored to be escorted through the museum by Mr Keith.
Lovingly run mini-museum which is somehow packed with more aircraft memorabilia than locations twice its size. This is essentially a large warehouse/hanger packed with all sorts of aircraft, models, interactive exhibits and more. The pride and joy is a large BEA propeller plane flown by Prince Philip for one of his Latin American tours. Incredibly impressive for a small scale operation.
Small but enthusiastically run aviation museum. Lots of interesting exhibits and stories, mostly very local to the site which is on the former aerodrome and aircraft factory. Definitely worth a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The museum is a lovely place and there is a lot to see considering it's not a big museum a day lots of interesting information to see. What a brilliant museum this is! Whilst small in ground footage, what is inside is incredible, jammed full of British aviation history, memorabilia & exhibits including original aircraft, fine detailed models, aircraft components, polaris missile cut away genuine exhibit and much more. Could spend whole day here if try to fully absorb and immerse oneself in everything! Outside there is a Fairey Gannet and Handley Page Dart Herald interior viewing highly recommened. This is must visit for anyone interested in aviation heritage and run by dedicated volunteers & aviation veterans who are happy to give a full insight into almost everythjng there. We highly recommend visiting.
The volunteers were warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the exhibitions, they have alot to see and need a bigger hanger great day loved it
