Extraordinary customer service, fast, kind and extremely helpful. They dealt with an urgent request so smoothly ! The choice of wine is also great !
The claim that this company choose better wine is amply justified. My wife and I have never had a bottle from them that was less than excellent. The delivery service is reasonably good, although, unlike other companies, they or rather the people they employ, sometimes have difficulty finding our house or identifying and supplying the wine we have ordered. The crucial matter for us is that, when things go slightly awry, they are dealt with quickly and smoothly. When we had the incorrect items in our most recent delivery, we contacted Robin James, who deals with ‘customer experience,’ and his response and service were first class. Everything is five star apart from the delivery service, in terms of picking out the wines we’ve ordered and finding our house. Oh, and apart from their constant invocation of The Spectator. Not everyone who loves wine shares those views.
I’ve used this company a couple of times with no issue. On the most recent occasion though, three bottles were damaged in transit as the couriers used APC Overnight were not the best. I wasn't contacted with a delivery day or time, plus they didn't contact The Wine Company to tell them of the damage and it was left to me to do so. The Wine Company's customer service was excellent, however, and the bottles were replaced within 3 days. I'd give the full rating if a more reputable delivery service was used.
Great service and lovely wines. I tried the Clayvin chardonnay and am completely sold now. On my second case. Service is great and i have the wine delivered to the office so it's really easy to collect and put in the car. They often suggest other wines and have even phoned me with an offer which I also took advantage. A much better way to purchase wine rather than the supermarket.
My wife and I ordered a case of wine that was showing in stock, money taken same day. When I subsequently chased my order a week later I was then informed that it wasn't in stock but had been ordered and would ship in a day or two, this date also came and went and then a follow up email I was informed my order would be dispatched on the Friday, nearly two weeks after my initial order. This date also was not met, one further email and I was informed that it would ship on the Monday 14th April, lo and behold I checked this morning and it has still not been shipped. My advice is not to trust the online stock quantities as these are false. However communication has been acceptable, albeit with prompting on my behalf first. Not a great first experience from a company that I was recommended toward using.

Excellent very good on the pallet nice and smooth
Very disappointed. They took over Vineyards Direct and with it wine ordered by myself. They NEVER EVER answered emails to try and sort things out, even though all evidence was provided. My calls came to nothing as "Mr Wheeler would get back to me"; never did.
Outstanding wines and outstanding service! We love in particular the Michelle Guilleminot Champagne Brut Rose!
