Nice friendly staff, very knowledgeable of products and ingredients. Areas clearly marked so it's easy to spot sugar free, vegan etc and there's a wide selection. Have all the US sweets and cereals and off brand chocolates. Massive selection of sweets include some classics, lots of childhood memories just walking around.
Loads of sweets and even have a good choice of sugar free sweets. Like the service and always helpful. Even have no added sugar chocolate. Something for everyone in this store.
Great little shop for all your favourite sweets. I'd been trying to find toasted coconut tea cakes. And Mr Simms had them plus other favourites you may like. Kid-friendliness: Nice little shop to take your young ones in, for them to get their favourite sweets Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair accessible for those who may need to go in with their wheelchair.
Overall, decent. I went in today and the atmosphere was nice in their displays. overpriced sure but eh, at least their stock was unique. I bought a bottle of ramune, some nerds or dweebs as their now called and some sour patch and it all seemed pretty good. Apparently there's a video going around of a man having trouble with a security guard there. I'm not sure what happend but staff seemed friendly to me. Maybe it's only one of them who wasn't on shift when i went or don't work there no more or something. But overall, pricey and gimmicky, but i enjoyed.
A fantastic selection of old school sweets. Unlce Lukes, spearmint chews, aniseed balls, sweet & sour fizzes, cherry lips, the list goes on. Well worth a visit. Not expensive. Buy in 100g lots and get a great selection. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I absolutely love this sweet shop! The pick&mix is my favourite, I have tried other pick&mix sweets from other shops but they have never been even remotely close to Mr simms, there is do much choice you won't be disappointed, you can aslo make you're own hamper which is amazing also the staff are so lovely and kind.
Such a brilliant little shop. They sell jars here that you can have filled with sweets from a particular decade, I've given them as presents twice now and they always get a good reaction. The shop itself is brilliant. Packed to the ceiling with every sweet treat you can imagine, including a collection of american treats like taffy and twinkies. Love this place and with definitely be coming back.
I was there yesterday but didn’t enter the shop after seeing the sign outside shaming you in to having to wear a mask. Another lady behind me had the same view and didn’t enter either. It’s a sweet shop not a dentist masks are a choice now. But good for them if they can afford to turn customers down.
Absolutely horrific service. Walking around Bury and thought it'd be nice to pop in here with my dad Be aware - 2 metre restrictions were still in place. Walked in, my dad following me and ran over to some sweet shelves. The security guy had a go out my dad for following me inside, saying something related to COVID, social distancing etc. Clearly, my dad was upset that he couldn't actually go in the store WITH HIS OWN SON!! Will not return.
If heaven was a place on earth - here it is. My most favourite location on the planet. The selection on offer is staggering. A good reminder for all of the sweet shops of the 60s and 70s. Almost like being in Arkwright's corner shop. You can even order through their website. Ordering online let's you choose delivery or pickup, which is great if you know you are going to be in town. Pre-ordering saves a little time. The staff are always so nice and helpful. Wheelchair accessible entrance and a large open shop floor make this place great for disabled.
