What an absolutely hidden jem. Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it, he met dave the owner whom was happy to show him his collection of ferrari's which pleased my husband . There was also a sculpting course going on which was interesting to watch. The sculpture garden was amazing, a small tea room selling light refreshments, the lady who served us was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed our visit and will be returning for the wild flower meadow reveal, can't wait to see that. Also a small variety of plants for sale cheap as chips. We have lived in the area for 9 year's and never new this existed We would recommend a visit if ever in the area.
Had a lovely mooch round these beautiful gardens, I almost missed the Sculpture Park, so glad I found it as there are sculptures all round the gardens but this area is on the far side of the house.
Beautifuly laid out, well planted and excellent variety of plants, trees, shrubs and large wild flower meadow. An absolute gem. Many levels and surprises around each corner. Incredibly managed by the hard working owner and his wife!
Well worth a visit staff very helpful and the gardens are lovely not forget the sculpture garden and the Japanese garden open on a Wednesday Saturday and Sunday 10 until 4
A wonderful place to visit ! This was our second time as its well worth going to see it during different seasons. The people are friendly and the gardens are beautiful. Food was delicious too
Beautiful, layered gardens and a really magical vibe with all the meandering pathways, hidden spots and sculptures dotted around. They even host stone carving workshops which look amazing - will have to return for that at some point too!
We visited today using the Gardeners World 2 for 1 discount card, so for both of us it cost £6. The gardens are easy to find, the car park is presumably free but quite small, so I imagine during the summer it gets very busy. The gardens themselves are lovely, there's also a sculpture workshop available. There's a whole variety of gardens with beautiful little touches here and there. The sculpture exhibition is a definite must see. Plants are for sale in a lovely cafe area. Card payment was accepted too which was great. We spent around 45 minutes there but if it was warmer we would have stayed longer!
Didn't look much when u walked in, but well worth the visit. Spent 2 hours wandering round. Enjoyed the sculptures & beautiful plants & trees.
What a lovely place to visit, off the hidden track, a hidden gem.
Lovely place. Beautiful everywhere. Definitely recommend a visit. Fun finding all the sculptures in the pretty gardens. No complaints just observations, don't take card just cash. They have refreshments tea coffee cans of pop, lovely cake and fresh fruit, but no other snacks like crisp, biscuits or icecream.
