Lovely freshly fried food. Staff are very pleasant and cheerful. Batter is the best around. As with most chippys the portions are too large. I ask for half a portion of chips. Lovely little town with a great variety of shops. Nice afternoon out.Food: 5/5
Great fish and chips, awesome meal. I always ask for scraps, however recently, they have been a highly requested add on, so I keep missing out. Lol. I find the portion sizes just right, I always eat every last chip, so I'm either greedy or I need a few more chips. Haha. Unfortunately the prices have taken a significant increase recently, but, I'm still visiting every week, sometimes even more... 5 star's for the food and service. I'd suggest you try the homemade sauces, especially the Tartar sauce.
We had cod n chips.. Saus fish cake n chips and curry sauce... Greasy.. Tasted awful.. Use to be good but not any more.. Chucked most of it away.. Will not be going there again
Was going past this place on a Tuesday and then on Friday, stopped and had excellent meals both times, the batter was so much better than where we live, great food, and great service highly recommended, will be back next year Parking: Easy to park right outside
Passing through and seen the good reviews so decided to stop. Very nice chippy with friendly staff, got served quick and had a gorgeous jumbo sausage and chips. Also ordered a pickled egg and they said I've given you two as they're small... Brilliant service and I'm not over these ways very often but when I am next I'm 100% coming back.
Very nice food. I went in at a busy time and they forgot to put my onion rings on, not a massive issue, just had to wait a little bit longer. As an apology they give me extra onion rings and fish which was really nice of them. Definitely recommend.
Hot sunny day in 2022, sat on the benches outside, my family had a lovely meal watching the world go by. Around 2009, this was my favourite chippy in the swaffham area. I moved away, but it was nice to come back and see why I used to go there, tasty well cooked chips that had just the correct out of crispiness. My picky eldest kid who had them as a toddler went on about how nice they were, I have trouble getting her to eat at a chippy... Loved the fact that the salt and vinegar are left on the side for self service.
Had to pay a premium for fish and chips, sadly it was of very poor quality, the fish was dry and the chips must have been lunchtime leftovers,for the price they charge you should get freshly cooked and enjoyable food. Never again.
Great fish and chip shop, freindly staff good price and the meal was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended and we will definitely be going back again!!
First time and sad to say last time…cod was not too bad but very small and left a greasy after taste. Chips however were awful, I almost thought they were left from last night. Sorry but have been waiting for my first fish and chips for months and did not enjoy it at all!
