Lovely place to come and have some authentic fish and chips.nnBought a variety of items. Classic fish and chips, fish strips and chips and fiery fish wrap.nnAll were made fresh and tasted beautiful. Family all enjoyed it. There's plenty of seating spaces inside to eat too.nnThey also have small free parking spaces just outside.
Finally tried the much talked about Mother Hubbards- but what a DISAPPOINTMENT . My brothers wanted to treat everyone and after reading some of the negative comments recently I was a bit hesitant if we should try it but we still went for it.nWe went for a variety of fish and chips- the typical cod fish , and then the spicy and fiery - and kids went for a mixture of chicken strips , nuggets and fish bites. Fish was below average and cod didn’t taste close to what it should taste like / possibly a CHEAP batch from somewhere. Portion sizes were good but makes no difference when the food wasn’t appetising. The chips was probably the biggest let down as they were nothing like the chips from the local chips shops and quickly became hard and stale.nnPrice wise it’s quite high and especially for the experience we had.nAVOID - if you want to waste your money or below average food.
Took a little drive down to probably the best fish and chip shop in Birmingham.nnClean, welcoming service plenty of seating. All food is freshly cooked.nnA little pricey but you pay for what you get.
This was my first time trying the hugely popular fish and chips brand. Everything spot on, their fiery fish bites were so tasty alternative to masala fish. Also bought the special large fish, curry sauce, mushy peas, really good range of drinks too. Spent around £22 ...all worth it. *** Only thing to note is that they don't do any COD.. but the haddock was just as tasty ...dedicated parking next door is an extra point because the shop is on a main road
Went in for the first time, heard a lot of great stuff about it.nFood came out, chips were “just warm/dry”chicken was undercooked but fish was nice!nWent back for something- Front staff were too busy engaged in their own convo,nThe sweet cleaning staff member ended up attending me……Appreciate the kind lady, very polite and attentive!ndisappointed but maybe next time it will be a better experience x
