I had to deal with a solicitor who didn’t appear to know what he was doing. Then I was passed onto another one who was extremely cold and in compassionate. They left! Eventually passed onto another one. After charging a fortune for work that could have been done quicker since talking to other party and without such aggravation. Wouldn’t use again.
A simple property transaction dragged put for months. I almost lost the property. My calls were ignored, and no progress was made for weeks. They asked me to deposit the purchase price and the fees to the Moss account, and still, nothing happened for 6 weeks. I had to deal with five different people for a simple transaction. The supposed experienced lady to whom my job was assigned, was the worst of all. She ignored my calls and was very reluctant to speak with me. Her excuse was that she is busy. The company management is also to blame for shambolic customer service because they should not accept new clients when they know they do not have the staff to handle them. one of the worst experiences I had in recent years. When I complained to the manager, she only sent me a form to fill in, as if they have had such cases many times before.
Rita at Miss solicitors helped with my financial divorce settlement. The advice and support I received was more than i ever could have expected. Highly recommend Rita Rathod and Moss Solicitors.
I have just used the conveyancy department, A lady called Melanie helped me through all of the transaction. My family an I are oustanded by how quickly this transaction went through, Melanie answered my emails daily and almost instantly. 5 Weeks and 4 days for my transaction to complete ! Im so pleased, of course you will be doing any further purchases.
Unresponsive to my emails regarding house sale. Makes no attempt to understand or even listen once you finally get through to someone on the phone, thats if they are not on what seems to be a perpetual lunch. Did not provide any updates on the progress of my sale. Will not be using again and have warned others looking for solicitors to avoid at all costs
Moss Solicitors acted for me recently in the sale of my property. The person dealing with my vase was melamine, who acted very professional and diligent in all aspects of the transaction. I would therefore recombed them for any form of conveying . Robert Yorke
My whole experience dealing with Patricia at Moss for conveyancing has been poor from start to finish. Originally dealing with her colleague through the initial enquiry I thought I was in good hands, I was then instructed she would be dealing with my house transfer going forward and it went down hill from there. She would not answer calls or emails, I would not hear from her for weeks on end when it was a very simple transfer-her response was 'well I'm working from home,' I ended up having to escalate through her line manager which worked for a short while before she ceased contacting again. The transfer was between two amicable parties living in the same house so we were in frequent contact so we were aware when items weren't sent to the other when advised they had been as excuse for delays/non-progress. It was only through this other party contacting also did the transfer progress, even though I was the one instructing and paying the bill she offered them a level of respect and speed she did not show me. A date had been suggested by Patricia for the transfer but not confirmed, even in the near two weeks leading up to the day of transfer I had not received confirmation from her that it was going to complete, she ignored my calls and emails again so I honestly did not know if it was going to happen until her secretary who was lovely chased her on my behalf on the day and fortunately it had been planned for that date and gone through. The house transfer was on the 18th of March, even now I have not received any paper work/confirmation it has been added to the register or if I should be receiving any further info, to which I emailed her on the 20/06/22 to enquire and to this day have not received a reply. I shall never use Moss again, please don't make the same mistake I made and look elsewhere.
Extremely disappointing service. Do not recommend them at all. I had explained in detail what I would like to do in both written and verbal form. I also requested them to let me know what the procedure is and what documents they require to prepare these in advance. They provided me with a quote and instructed me on how to accept the quote and proceed. I filled in the forms required and paid the deposit. I also provided all the documents required for the proof of ID. I heard nothing back from the person assigned to the file for more than ten days. So I contacted the assigned person to see what are the next steps and the timeline. They emailed me back which was more like a complaint about why I am asking them to do the service as if they are doing volunteer work and there has been no agreement or paperwork in place. The case was a very straightforward case that did not require even a solicitor but we wanted to make sure there is no mistake so we thought we ask them to do this. So the solicitor who was not happy to even make a phone call to the client finally emailed again saying they can not do this whilst when I took it to another solicitor they knew perfectly how to do this. When I told them so why you took my case, they said the person who communicated with you was just an admin person, so did not know. Therefore I had to withdraw my request and ask for a refund. It was such a waste of time and energy and very very disappointing indeed. The first thing a legal office does is when the client comes with a clear case, to advise them from day one whether they can do it or not and explain the procedure.
I have just used Moss Solicitors for my conveyancing and would like to recommend them especially Melanie Brockbank for her patience, timeliness and helpful responses throughout the process, very professional despite some trying times during the process. Thank you all very much for your help.
Didn’t bother replying to website request. Found a different solicitor to work with.
