A new and improved park!! Now its all a new park area to play its a huge improvement. My grandson is a bit small for some of the new climbing frames, but loves the slide. The swings are great too. There is much more for little ones then before, but still plenty for the slightly older. With climbing, seesaw, a roundabout and a small trampoline too. Even a train to play on and house to play in. With the new coffee shop being built it will be fabulous and really busy in the summer.
Now they have a new park area to play on its a whole lot better, my son really likes the new climbing frame with long slide. And the other new frames and swings too. They have other things for the younger ones to play on, they even have a small trampoline too.
Beautiful park with children's play area, skate park & plenty of paths for a pleasant walk. Parking is free but no toilet facilities. There is often an ice-cream van on the carpark for refreshments.
Had a wonderful day at Morton Stanley Park. Lots to do there, there is the chidrens playground which is in very good condition. We had a picnic, on a picnic bench, which was lovely. There is no cafe at the moment and no toilets, which is disappointing, but one is being built at the moment. An ice-cream van is usually there, so you can buy drinks and ice-lollies and ice-creams there. After our picnic we picked some blackberries and sloes. There are some lovely walks around the wildflower meadows and through the woods. Today we saw squirrels, lots of fungi, and heard saw many birds. We also had a game of football and also cricket, there is a table tennis table and a net you can use for volley ball or anything you want. A good time was had by all the family.
Lovely dog walking park, new paths, or field walking options. There are plenty of bins and clean. Great cafe for food or a drink while there. It was really popular when we were there and parking seemed to be a problem... but definitely going back.
Morton Stanley Park is a pleasant local park with good facilities for little kids. The car park could be bigger and indoor seating at the café would be welcome but overall a good place for getting some fresh air. It's very popular with dog walkers as it offers a few different routes and when we were there every age group imaginable were using some part of the park.
Fabulous open park space close to the town. Plenty of parking and foot paths. Great for a cycle or ramble in the woods. Skate park looks well used and the play equipment good fun. Addition of the cafe makes a great lunch time destination for a drink or catchup with friends. Note that the toilet is only open whe the cafe is, so don't get caught short during the reduced winter opening hours. Also keep an eye out for the local astronomy society meeting in the evening to make use of the great dark skies.
Morton Stanley Park is a fantastic place to visit for free in Redditch. The play park is well equipped with swings, slides, roundabout, obstacle course and climbing frame. It is great for children young & old, plus further round the park there is a zip wire and skate area for young people/teens. There is lots of open space for games too as well as table top games. The park has some pretty paths to enjoy a walk with areas where dogs need to be on a lead clearly marked. There is plenty of parking & numerous benches & picnic tables. It is let down by not having any toilet facilities though.
Lovely hot chocolate. Good choice of cakes too. Staff were friendly and the cafe was spotless. Seating outside was clean.
Really nice park, we use it most days to walk the dog. Recently it's had good investment into the play area and a new café, which was a really welcome addition! Dog-friendliness: Park quite often has lots of dogs running around. More often than not, most dogs are off lead too!
