Autumn visit to mortons whilst having a chilled day touring the causeway coast. Just like previous visits the fish and chips were delicious cooked to order. We visited just after it opened at 1230 and took advantage of the covered seating area to enjoy our tasty lunch. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking is next door Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu is also available
Great value fish bar along the Ballycastle seafront. Basic selection of either fish, burgers and sausages with other options. There are side dishes and drinks also. There is an area for eating on site or you can takeaway and eat along the seafront. Food is made to order, so is fresh and hot.
Great fish and chip shop - very busy over the summer, we ordered at the hatch and waited for our ticket number to be called.
Sitting on Ballycastle Harbour, right by the boat that brings their fish in, is a wonderful little chippy that has BY FAR the best gluten free fish and chips I’ve ever had. The batter on outside is fried perfectly crispy, and yet the fresh cod remains incredibly fresh and isn’t soggy at all. Definitely worth a visit.
Great food and value for money. Batter was light and not to heavy like others and tastes good Would stop again when passing through Ballycastle
Choice of gluten free options. I went for the cod and chips. My friend haddock. Both very large portions with 2 pieces of fish.Food: 5/5
Returning from Rathlin Island and no eateries open until 5pm, we spotted Morton's. Excellent fish and chips with tea ...oh, and some peas..great!
Service very slow, oil needs changed, our take away order was wrong. Food was cold, and drinks warm. I rang them they said I'd have to wait up to an hour to get it changed. Very off putting. Got very expensive though due to cost of living rises. Should get what I pay for tasty food, but on this occasion I was disappointed. To many orders at once, and oil tastes of other fried foods so everything tastes the same. Used to lovely years ago. I think the staff and cooks changed. Though a couple of staff been there long term. Not be back, unless it improves.
Great food very busy so phone order in advance to collect in 15 minutes. Chips, cod and pork and apple burger were very tasty. No forks in bag or salt/vinegar/sauce/napkins or would have been a 5* rating
Second time I've had a bad Mortons, just spent £26 and the chips were black and over cooked, ordered a half lb burger and received a 7oz. Me and my family were really disappointed, prob won't be back again.
