Chips are good, location good, I'm just dropping one star because they have an ordering system which involves a front of house person taking the order through a window and then relaying it to the counter behind..... there is a communication problem here as on more than one occasion we asked and paid for an order adaption only to find it hadn't been fulfilled when getting to our sunset chip eating spot...... can fault it otherwise
Visited Mortehoe fish and chip shop earlier this week. The young man who served us was friendly and helpful. Our fish and chips were delicious, the best battered fish we've had in a very long time, very quick service as well. Can't recommend this fish and chip shop highly enough.
We took a short trip to North Devon and found this shop online, so as it was local we had a take out. The service was first rate. The mid-week visit found a steady business but setvice time with cook to order was not long. Portion and prices were fair and the food was great - fish for regular was a bigger than expected size thecspecual fish cakes were amazing. Would highly recommend a visit.
Just had fish & chips from Mortehoe fish & chips these don't deserve 1 star dry hard chips and lots of bits fish was just about OK but for over £9 not good value will not use them again not recomended if you want good fish & chips go to squires in braunton, used them before when we've been here on holiday and highly recommend them
Decent fish and chips and definitely better than the food from mobile vans which tour the campsites in the region. Always a bit of a wait from ordering to collection so not the quickest meal but, allow for it and have a pint in the pub opposite. If you're lucky, the wait may be longer than expected and you can squeeze an extra pint in
Really nice people who were were happy to check a mustard allergen for me and went above and beyond. Said they were closing on Saturday but hopefully only just for the season but I was a bit flustered saying bye so wasn't sure Food was good and would go back
Beautiful fish and chips. I had the haddock and hubby had the cod. Cooked to perfection. Would recommend- wish they were open more in the week
We've returned year after year and have always been impressed with the quality and variety of options. Range of fishcakes is amazing, crabs and lobster are delicious, and the standard fish and chips is just right. Plan ahead timewise as things are cooked fresh, and it's in high demand, so maybe leave your family / mates in the pub while you queue!
Lovely cod and chips, scampi was good too according to the family. Service fast and friendly. Chips were proper job.
Despite the satnav getting confused, I found this treasure of a chip shop. Smashing fish and chips at a very reasonable price with good sized portions. The chap there also helped with clear directions back to the campsite
