Extremely Disappointing Experience at Morrisons in whitefield Bury store. I’ve just walked out of Morrisons after an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable shopping experience. My partner and I were followed throughout the store by an overzealous security guard, whose rude and unprofessional behavior made us feel both unsettled and unwelcome. It’s clear that he was well beyond what’s considered appropriate, as he trailed us aisle by aisle while we were simply doing our shopping. To make matters worse, when we approached another security guard to ask for his name or the store manager’s, she had no idea who he was or who the manager was! We left without any answers and have since had to file a formal complaint directly. I understand security staff have a job to do, but the way we were treated today was absolutely outrageous. As someone who owns businesses and works in marketing and social media with over 20,000 LinkedIn followers, I find it hard to believe that Morrisons allows such behavior to occur. If this is standard practice, their policies need serious review. The use of CCTV should be more than adequate to monitor any suspicious behavior, without needing someone to hover over customers as if they’re guilty of something. Morrisons, I urge you to reflect on how you treat your customers. Today’s experience was unacceptable.
Morrison, situated on the corner of Stanley Rd and Bury New Rd A56 is one of Morrison's larger superstores, with ample parking and access from two sides of the store. Apart from a wide range of food and household products the store includes a cafeteria, Timpsons, and no doubt other concessions I cannot remember. The store is opposite Whitefield Park and Whitefield Tram Station Bury Line.
Fairly big store. Morrisons always seem a bit premium prices for budget quality if you ask me. The cafe is quite good, especially the all day breakfast.
A great supermarket filled with fridges and freezers that break regularly- the stock isn’t quickly removed so you’ll often pick up re-frozen goods or fresh products that have gone off because they’ve reached room temperature before anyone’s realised. Three times I’ve had in date chicken that was rotten when I opened the packet. Top that with regular pricing errors and food going out of stock regularly. Naff experience, but at least there’s seats everywhere to sit down and soak up the atmosphere.
Lots of the sweets on the shelves were all mixed up and in a terrible mess. Other everyday items like tena ladies long, and Gillette women's deodorant, and basics like fizzy water in packs were extremely limited. There was also other items in store that were sold out or not stocked at all. When using the restaurant in store all the trolley parks while you ate, are either broken or full of in store rubbish. Not impressed at all tbh. :-
Very big supermarket and a large number of different options available on the majority of products. I don't recommend coming at night time as the staff close all the tills and leave self checkout open without any help with a LARGE shop!
So I haven't been to Morrisons for years but popped in to grab some bits, Massive carpark, plenty of Disabled bays, Cash machines, The Store is Massive, There is a cafe behind the tills, Well set out store, Fantastic variety of stock across each department, Plenty of staff on hand. Fantastic customer service and the store was spotlessly clean. 5
Yet another underperforming Cafe....air conditioning blowing cold air in a place that's already cold... Ladies toilets a certain waste bin for ladies full.... It's sadly a common theme in lots of stores....also it seems cash is going to be eradicated from the cafe payment option..??? Do these new owners really know what they have bought... Finally saw three managers stood at the tills whilst the toilets yet again Morrison's fail to hit the standard...Proactive not reactivate is the only way to get standards up.
