Yeadon Morrison’s retail supermarket offers a spacious and well-organised shopping experience, with a wide range of essential goods including fresh meats, vegetables, and a specialised bakery featuring various baked items. Access via Harper Lane is recommended for more convenient parking. The store is equipped with a glass dispenser, making it a one-stop place for all your home essentials. Try visiting during off-peak hours for a more relaxed shopping experience and visit the bakery section early in the day or evening for the freshest selections. ‍
Terrible cafe. Nothing available on the menu. And what was provided was borderline offensive. If someone was caught on the street with a piece of the charred remnants of the black pudding I was served, it would be deemed to be a dangerous weapon! At least someone in the kitchen could warm up some beans.
Visited the cafe twice on our recent trip to Yeadon. The food was good but the cleanliness of the cafe was poor. In particular, the mobile tray rack which was parked close by our table looked as though it had never been cleaned since it had arrived new. The chairs and the green screens were also dirty. I used to live locally and the cafe was always clean and a pleasure to visit.
My first visit. A slightly smaller store but with everything I needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful large cafe, clean, well staffed/stocked and even has a Barista Bar which can be accessed from the cafe area and the area behind the tills as you leave. Will become my local store of choice despite a 20 min car journey. UPDATE Still shopping here but since Covid ended, things have gone down. Severe lack of staff in all areas especially the Market Street sections with salad bar, pizza and deli having customers waiting so long they walk away. Today I nored the staff who were there were not wearing disposable gloves and the pizza guy was placing all the ingredients on with bare hands. Store needs a good shake up from management. UPDATE 2 13/2/24 Today will be my last visit to this store. Nothing has changed. Still woefully understaffed. Deli unmanned so long I left. Many common products unavailable. The staff who are there are friendly and helpful...just not enough of them. Clearly management ineffectual.
I called into the cafe today after doing my shopping and was very impressed with the two ladies who assisted me. Maz went above and beyond to be helpful and the pride she has in her role is evident. Her cheerful, friendly nature made my stressful day so much better.
Bit short on choice of fresh veg today but that seems to be the same whichever supermarket at present. Always pleasant staff on the tills.
I took my Grandson into the cafe today for lunch . The coffee machine wasn't working and they were under staffed which is no fault of their own.!!! I over heard people being rude to the staff by being awkward, sighing, complaining etc. There was two members of staff there that stood out for me one being Maz and her colleague at the time. They continued to be friendly, polite , helpful, patient, apologetic and coped incredibly well under these circumstances .... For all the moaners and groaners that was there just ask yourselves 'Am I perfect?'.... Keep smiling Ladies x
Disgusting. Veg often moldy and left rotting beside the rest. Thought they were meant to be checked before going on shop floor...
They dished me up cold food in their cafe twice. I complained in the store and was told to come in next week and they would give me a free meal as a gesture of goodwill, 'to make things right again', they offered. 'We value your custom', I was told. 'Let's have a fresh start' they said. So I went into the cafe the following week looking forward to my free meal and ordered pie and chips at the counter, only to be told that I couldn't have pie because it was too expensive but I could have a plain omelette. Take it or leave it. I left it. They rather petty-mindedly RENEGED on their promise of any free meal. Would YOU believe anything they told you after that?
Unique building, great position in Yeadon and well-looked after. Back alley on Main Street is a bit sketchy but otherwise perfect. Also there's a bus stop.
