I went into Morrisons today and was honestly shocked by the sheer number of cameras they’ve installed. They are everywhere—literally every few inches along the shelves and even pointing directly at you from the freezer units. It feels like a complete overkill of surveillance just to buy some bread or frozen fish. It’s hard to feel like a customer when you're being monitored like a suspect; the whole place has developed this 'Big Brother' vibe that makes a simple shopping trip feel incredibly invasive and uncomfortable.nnMorrisons claims this is all about 'stock management' and 'efficiency,' but it’s a massive privacy concern to have your every move, dwell time, and interaction tracked by AI. I’d much rather see that investment go into actual staff at the checkouts instead of hundreds of tiny lenses peering down at me from the shelf edges. It’s reached a point where the surveillance is so aggressive that it’s actually off-putting, and I’m seriously questioning whether I want to keep shopping somewhere that treats its customers like data points in a lab.
My experience at this supermarket has been consistently awful. As a delivery driver, every single time I come to pick up an online order, nobody pays attention to me. I end up waiting an absurd amount of time while staff completely ignore the online collections area, as if those orders don’t matter at all. This last visit was the worst. I stood there for 20 minutes, and not one person bothered to acknowledge me. When I finally asked for help, I was basically told to ‘be patient,’ as if my time has no value.nThe blonde woman preparing the orders was extremely dismissive, and her attitude toward me felt openly hostile. From my perspective, her behaviour came across as arrogant and even racist. When I picked up the bags and politely asked if the orders were correct, she didn’t even bother to answer.nThe difference compared to other supermarkets is unbelievable — at Co-op or Waitrose the wait time is literally zero. They actually respect delivery drivers and move quickly. Meanwhile, here, it feels like nobody cares at all.nnBased on my repeated experiences, this place is by far the worst supermarket to pick up from, and I wouldn’t recommend it to any delivery driver.
Fantastic bar all the homeless people outside its a shame more should be done to help them.. Morrisons is Morrisons Cafe is Fantastic and get ya groceries plenty of parking a massive bonus loads of disabled spaces
This Morrisons is the worst in the evening. A few times when I came to collect orders, all the drivers were waiting outside in 3-degree weather. No one cared about us, even though every order was ready within 20 minutes, and we were left standing outside for a long time.nThis is really poor customer service and a lack of care for people. I hope the management can bring a positive change. It is now 7 p.m., and I have been standing in very cold weather for more than 30 minutes.
The store itself is fine, however the staff seem completely unbothered about fulfilling orders made via delivery apps like Uber Eats or Just Eat? For some of us that may have mobility issues, it is convenient to have the option to get some shopping done through an app and delivered. However, Morrisons love to accept an order made online and then leave us waiting 3/4 hours whilst they’re still “shopping” for the items?? It’s even at a point where I have had delivery drivers complain that they’re waiting in store for the items but none of the staff are bothering to complete it. I have had multiple drivers waiting in the store then calling me and then cancelling the order because the store has taken way too long? I do not blame the delivery drivers at all. Whoever the store manager is, it is impossible to get a hold of them. It also seems just as impossible for the store manager to get their staff in order! Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve put an official complaint in through to Morrisons head office and I really am hoping something or someone changes!
