This is one of the best supermarkets, the staff are excellent,professional and friendly and many have worked there for years. The checkout staff always ask if you need help packing and don’t rush items through the checkout, allowing time to pack bags away calmly. Great value products with plenty of choice. Welcoming and clean supermarket.
Nearly £8 for two bacon on bread...can't eat it due to being so hard. Save the waiting and just hand over your cash. Disgusting.
Just been in and wanted cash back with my groceries to leave change in the car as had to use a basket and was very heavy. The Lady refused and was so miserable I came out feeling very frustrated. I felt like going back and buying an item for a few pence with the ten pound note she just gave me at her till just to make her realise how difficult she had been . Please have helpful and smiley staff . She didn’t even say hello.
The self checkout in this shop is the worst experience ever. I bought 1/2 bottle of brandy, took 3 minutes for the assistant to turn up for the age verification, then she wandered off knowing the bottle was tagged. Took another 5 minutes until she returned to remove the tag. I love Morrisons but the staff here are the worst I have met.
I started out writing a long winded detailed review before realising lifes too short. Instead let me advise with regards to things to avoid. The bakery section. The soggyest most doughyiest croissants I have had the displeasure of eating, the scones are undercooked and un scone like. The pasties are over priced, for the most part tastless and largely undercookedspecifically the mince or steak. The pre packed sandwiches although generally rubbish everywhere are particularly rubbish. I can only assume the supermarket taste testers just think it will do for the plebs and manufacture this rubbish regardless. The surrounding area often untidy. And there now appears to be a gaggle of managers all of which come across as unapproachable, unfriendly and generally quite sullen. Overall an unsatisfactory shopping experience.
Not so happy today. I had just a basket. The checkouts were very busy, so I tried a self checkout and the scanner was hopeless. The manager arranged for the cigarette counter to take me through but they could not weigh the loose vegetables. Felt a bit frustrated.
Trying to communicate with some of the staff here is like trying to telepathically communicate with dolphins the toilets are disgusting and they sell out of date products like sliced meats bread fruit even alcohol which went out of date a month ago the only reason this store gets 2 stars is because it's convenient just make sure you check the packaging for out of date stock you don't want to get home to discover your roast beef still has a heart beat or something funky growing on it
Only popped in the use the loo and cash machine. Loads of parking, conveniently situated and useful that it has a petrol station. Seemed to be a decent size for a small morrisons.
Getting more expensive than Sainsbury! However they offer a wide choice. Clothes aren't very inspiring though.
I thought I'd pop into the Meltham store yesterday as I wanted a small container of past/ salad from the salad bar,no small containers so I ,ask a manager if I could put a smaller amount in med. or large container, I'm afraid that's not possible, I walked out,this means they missed a sale of buns,ready meals and who knows what else I might have fancied. Poor!!
