Couldn't believe it. A couple of kids were very obviously hiding behind a stack of toilet rolls in the toiletries aisle and throwing rolls across the shelves to the point that customers couldn't shop in this section of the store. Security was right there. Morrisons' staff was right there. I even spoke to one of the sales assistants, and she said something like 'yeah this happens all the time', and declined to do anything. So not only could I not access this aisle, but the staff refused to act in any way.nI've attached pictures of the aisle that I took once the kids had gone. What's the point of security if they can't do anything?nI'd also like to add that the customer service at this store is terrible, especially at the self-service machines, where the staff working in this section seemed annoyed and stressed, especially when you ask for basic assistance with the slow self-service machines.
A really convenient supermarket right in the city centre. The store is clean, well-stocked, and has a great variety of groceries, fresh food, and essentials.nI love the Market Kitchen – plenty of hot food options cooked fresh, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.nStaff are helpful, and it’s easy to pop in if you’re shopping in town.nGets busy sometimes, but overall a great spot!
I had an extremely unpleasant and upsetting experience at Morrisons today due to the extremely rude and presumptuous behaviour of a female staff member. She appeared to be aged between 40 and 50, with dark skin tone.nnI asked for a shopping bag at the checkout, planning to select the bag option on the payment screen after scanning all my items, which is the normal procedure for every customer here. However, this staff member kept standing closely beside me, staring at me the whole time in an intimidating manner. She spoke to me in a very rude, aggressive tone, claiming I was being monitored by CCTV and falsely accusing me of trying to steal the shopping bag.nnWithout any reasonable enquiry, she snatched the bag from my hand, scanned it for me and forced my transaction forward to the payment page, even though I had not finished scanning all my groceries at all.nnIt is completely unreasonable and unprofessional for her to assume I was stealing without any evidence. What makes this experience even worse is the obvious unfair targeting: she only kept a close eye on me while ignoring local customers around me. I strongly feel this is obvious racial profiling and discriminatory treatment.nnThis kind of rude, biased and unprofessional behaviour is totally unacceptable for a Morrisons staff member. She humiliated me publicly and ruined my shopping experience completely. I hope the management will investigate this incident seriously, provide proper staff training on basic manners and equal customer treatment, and prevent such discriminatory incidents from happening again.
I shop at Morrisons in Leeds Merrion centre regularly. I am particularly happy with the variety of products they sell. I particularly like the More Card loyalty scheme where I am able to choose 'booster' products to give me a certain number of loyalty points which later can be exchanged for £5s to take off next months' shopping bill. It encourages me to try new brands that I wouldn't know about otherwise. I am also quite happy with the self-service checkouts, both for trolleys and baskets. There are enough of them and wait times are not usually very long.
Appalling customer service. I felt that the woman there was dismissive and in all honesty rude towards my friends and I who were trying to complete our uni weekly shop. I hope that your staff can be better trained as it’s not the first time i have heard of customer service such as this.
