This is the supermarket of long queues. Nearly all self service now which is great but half of them always closed resulting in long queues to pay. Staff avoid any customer interaction in case you complain about it. You can see why they are losing popularity
Pretty poor experience. Didn’t have my favourite beer which isn’t the end of the world, but a minor disappointment. Used self checkout but there’s no signage for which side to put your basket on so I put it on the wrong side, which upset the system. Had to wait 4-5mins for a staff member to reset the machine as the attendant was taking ages with one person by which point 4 other people also needed the attendant. I appreciate 4-5 minutes may not seem a long time, but when you’re staring into space, it really is try it. The staff member then finally came and was sarcastic about me putting the basket on the wrong side. There is no signage at all to indicate where to put your basket and the positioning of the carrier bags seemed to suggest it was the side I’d chosen. I then went to leave the store and before the first set of doors was greeted with a strong amount of cigarette smoke, which was worse just before a final set of doors, where a staff member was stood outside the front of the shop in full uniform smoking. Firstly, there should be a designated staff smoking area which is away from customer view. Secondly, if that cannot be provided, staff should at least have the courtesy to move away from the entrances when smoking and should also cover their uniforms. I do most of my food shopping online, and this was a timely reminder of why I do that. I certainly won’t be rushing back to this store as it doesn’t seem professionally-staffed.
Not been here for ages and I saw someone I used to work with and not seen for over 20 years! Great to have a catch-up. The place was clean and plenty of stock
The hand made pizzas are great! My only gripe is that a lot of the time there is no staff member on that section when I'm stood waiting.
Went to get doughnuts women on the cake department was doing sometime don’t know what chewing what I can only think was gum and when I asked if they had the doughnuts I want she just didn’t look up and grunted no will go to parkgate next time they now customer service
