Not my experience but my little brother's anecdotal experience was absolutely abysmal. Why is it that he of all people in the shop at that time was followed and felt as though he had eyes on him at every minute of his time trying to do a basic shop like everyone else? But was treated in a manner that not everyone else was treated with? The security guard must have a bias of who he thinks is a potential for shoplifting. Yet, my brother not only helps out through in the soup kitchens in Aberdeen city centre. He is quite a self sacrificing kind of person who would happily help anyone out with anything and he also donates new clothing, gloves, scarfs, hat's and lots of board games for kids who have literally nothing in shelters and helps out the old timers when he can. He's the kind of dude who'd happily give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it more than him. That's just who Shanemy little but taller brother is! But seemingly, all that counts for absolute diddly squat when he is just trying to do a shop without having a set of eyeballs all over him. Plaguing his anxiety as well. Only.... he did have the security guard's eyes on him at all times. My brother is far too prideful and modest to post a bad review for fear of being ridiculed as he is a social outcast in this community anyway. So it wouldnt take much. But I ain't having this like. For a genuine decent bloke to be somehow put in a category of potential thieves like? For no other reason than some kind of percieved bias. Nah. That is uncalled for. If that's the case I hope the security guard is willing to do that with everyone else who enters the store or it can be perceived as either discrimination based on how my brother looks or it's a perceived personal bias/witch hunt. I don't get why some people get preferential treatment from security staff? Not only is that bad for business in terms of cost. It's bad for brand reputation, bad for customer retention as negative word of mouth spreads like wildfire and customer/retailer interactions, it's just bad news all round.nnEither of the above points are absolutely unacceptable in retail. Or anywhere for that matter. But definitely applies to retail As my brother is entitled to enter a shop like everyone else without having to put up with that kind of drivel. As anyone would realistically expect. But No, No!nnI don't go shopping that often but I've never had a problem in Morrisons and that's the truth. But I can't overlook my brother's experience. Do you know how de-humanizing it is to be scapegoated or categorized into the thief category based on nothing more than a perception whilst everyone else can shop without said infringements? So he clearly was judged and categorized before he even started his shop. It probably happened from the minute he walked into the store. But he only took notice when he started looking at looking at food to purchase. I knew he was an outcast in terms of social awkwardness! But this particular situation..... is disgusting. How would the security guard like to be judged based on everyone's perception? Also, my brother is not the 1st to experience this. Seen quite a few other reviews that back the sentiment up. He wont be back like. I may be back. But it will be begrudgingly and only as a last resort. You get 3 stars. I was in two mind's whether or not to even give you more than 1 or 2 stars. But as I'm not entirely unreasonable, you get 1 or 2 more star than you probably deserve. I'm not being naive either but I think this review is doing my brother a serious disservice and probably inflating the shop's customer service in this particular situation. Security personnel to be more precise. Not sure if that is still a customer service if it isn't, I sincerely apologize to customer serving staff in advance. But please do better in future. I like Morrisons personally so I'd hate for this to keep going on. The Store must do better.
Toilets still not working properly after several weeks. Cafe coffee/ tea machines not working again after several weeks, a sign says they are being cleansed, incorrect they have broken down. The general layout is terrible with abandoned product 'cages' in the aisles. The automated cafe ordering is situated just past the check outs, thus causing some congestion and after this some items for sale on pallets AFTER check outs
A year on and the car park is in a worse state than ever, Ive made a decision to stop shopping here until the car park is repaired, it is too risky trying not to nip your tyre or alloys.nnDisappointing that a company the size of Morrisons with an annual turnover of £18.4bn last year cannot look after its customers.nnLove this store but the risk that you face every day in the car park is shocking, and the thing is it’s been like that for months and there doesn’t be a desire to do anything about it.nnSurely a company the size of Morrisons would want to make sure their customers did face an assault course every time they go shopping. It’s even worse when it rains as it floods and you can’t see the holes.nnEarlier ReviewnGood supermarket, with a decent carpark, petrol filling station, cafe and recycling facilities for glass.nnGood fresh fruit and vegetable options via Market Street. Also good selection of bread and bakery products.nnLike the world foods section where you can get unusual ingredients for making dishes from different cultures.nnThe seasonal garden centre is worth a look with decent plants at competitive prices.
Utterly disgusting that this store has had no door on the cubicle in the gents toilet for months.nWhat makes it worse is staff are reticent about giving you the all abilities key and you are pointed in the direction of the gents. Would they poop in a wide open cubicle? I think not.
Great choice and value for money.nTry and avoid school dinner time as the local shool students flock here which makes it very busy at the checkouts.
