Came here for breakfast at Cafe. A higher quality and standard than mist supermarket cafés. Has a good self-service and order system, and the staff are keen. Food is excellent and standards high. The store, in general, has been upgraded and set out well in recent years. It looks and feels clean, fresh, well maintained, and looked after. Parking is ample and good.
Shockingly bad I'm sad to say. Used to like this Wellingborough branch but my visit today since they changed the store layout etc was awful. The cafe was worse than it's ever been. They were understaffed due to sickness but everything was bad. Nothing had been stocked up with the sauces and cutlery, had to ask several times for things. Food was cold and unappetizing, we both left half of it. Staff understandably were not happy but it shouldn't be shown to customers. I have worked in a busy supermarket cafe myself and understand how hard it is but even when I was running it by myself one morning cooking, serving etc I did a better job and behaved professionally. The actual store is now terrible, poorly stocked, less choice and bad quality. We saw numerous packs of ham badly discoloured on the shelves, the bakery items were either burnt or under baked. The list goes on, I was absolutely shocked how awful the store is now. It was vastly better before the change. We sadly won't be going to this store again. Such a shame. I am not one to write a review and complain normally but felt compelled today.
Worth minus stars!!!Yesterday was the final straw! Went to lottery kiosk - one of the ladies there is SO RUDE. I stood there for 5 minutes- while she was checking her mobile phone! Then all I got was Yup.! As for the quality!! Plants are either water logged or bone dry. Scotch eggs dry. Prices on shelves go through tills at higher price - then you have to wait ages to go and get them to check. Most of the staff are extremely rude as if they are doing you a favour serving you. Well we can all think with our feet and go elsewhere! Stacey the store manager was supposed to be sorting this store out???? Well he has failed! It's got worse! AVOID!!
Revamped store is cramped, messy and disorganised. Shoppers were getting stuck in gridlock in the aisles and products have been spread around in quite a random way. Shelves with batteries, anti-wrinkle cream and chewing gum all together. Just why? Lots of products discontinued, long queues at the 4 remaining tills and prices higher than other local supermarkets. Staff were good as usual but I won't be shopping here regularly like I used to.
Standard facilities, although this store has had a refurbishment the accessible toilet has remained unchanged. No changing places toilet a bit behind on this while Tesco are now providing changing places toilets, some products are in high shelves the usual for most supermarkets. When the disabled toilet emergency alarm was going of no staff attended to it, something staff should be aware of and react with more urgency. No accessible lowered self service checkouts and automatic security doors don’t open for wheelchair users meaning wheelchair users are treated differently.
Yesterday I was in the store and wanted to take pastries, but there one man of thin build looked at me and said something very aggressively. It seems to me that mentally ill people work in this store...I'm assuming this is a male baker, so I think it's mentally unhealthy and people like that shouldn't work this place. I want to advise the sea of Morrisons to the management before recruiting check the mental state of people's balance. This is so that people who visit this store would not receive a mantal heat. NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE BUT IF YOU GOING BE CAREFUL PLEASE PEOPLE.....
It's ok , I like it better than Asda. But Tesco's has better meat...but don't get the rolled beef joint, it's horrible chewy like rubber..so check.
What a depressing experience, with unhelpful staff. The one who did try to be helpful didn't actually know where the item I wanted was. Perhaps they should ask Asda for help with customer service training.
Loads of money spent on refurb but still can't keep the travelator running, less checkouts so more time waiting and a significant increase in prices, all in all not a great improvement!!!!
The availability is hit and miss. Prices going up a lot across the basket. Having never been to this store before the car park is a mess….. no signage, eventually found the way out. Seem to be refurbing the store so hopefully invest in some car park signage too?!!
