Tables not cleaned between sittings, hot chocolate was warm with no chocolate taste. No sign of any staff. No Coleslaw, salad looked like something the rabbit would refuse and was just lettuce!
Like their fish with a salad instead of chips, but they won't now alter the menu order. The garden peas with chips have been stood in the pan for so long, the colour has dulled so much, losing most of its nutrition. Garden peas, frozen, require no more than 2 minutes from boiling. Keeps colour, tender and nutritious. How hard is that?
I had to wait for over 5 minutes before I was able to make my take away coffee. I do understand though things are tough at the moment and the lady on the checkout told me they were giving her lots of different jobs because the cafe wasn't so busy, that's why I have still given 5*'s because that's not actually her fault and normally you can't fault Morrisons cafe for delicious food at a very reasonable price!
Not a bad cafe. Clean and a reasonable selection of food. The staff were nice - when you could find them. I don't know if it was the time that I visited or if this was normal but I had to wait for quite a while to get any service. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Enjoyed breakfast, only fault was bacon too much fat and not cooked enough, and toast opposite was half burned and had to leave it. Shop itself was not as cheap as Asda but had more to choose from. Staff shouting at each other over customers that had arrived to collect orders and only one guy to do it.
Woefully incompetent. Ordered a simple omelette, after paying I was then informed they didn't have any? I asked them then begrudgingly for a small breakfast with an egg, this was available. How odd no omelettes but can have a fried egg. Then was told they were pre packed omelettes. Really? After a further 30 minute wait for my small breakfast 7 other customers received their orders which were placed after mine. Finally Iasked for a refund as waited too long and they seemed to think I was in the wrong! Shrugged shoulders and dirty looks from the staff. How rude and will not be returning.
Food was very good but I don't like the self service machine I think it's too impersonal and it's a way of getting rid of jobs. We saw people walking away while we were in the cafe.
Can recommend the fish and chips here, competitively priced meals, this cafe is located in the Morrisons supermarket which is located on the edge or Newark town centre, plenty of parking, ideal for a quick snack before of after your weekly shop.
I am impressed with a self service machine similar like in Mc Donald "s I made an order, paid for it, and after about 5 minutes it was ready ! .Very fast and convenient . Also staff very friendly. I hope that nobody lose their job after new technology implementation. =
Very nice cafe, the new look is very appealing, good selection of hot food and light snacks upto 12.00. Hotfood available till 6.00pm. They do a big breakfast. Kids eat free after 3.00pm with full price adult meal
